Summary: This is a great printer for anyone who produces text or (otherwise black and white) documents and needs a personal printer that will produce extremely high quality printouts, with good speed. Toner is affordable and readily avalable.

Summary: Requires Windows 98 or greater. Not obvious from the main entry at ... It arrived & looks really cute. I'm trying to get my software upgrade but, meanwhile, printer is useless. HP has acknowledged that it absolutely won't run on Windows 95.
Summary: I have both macs and windows machines. I received this printer as a gift and found out that one has to buy a faster printer for [$$] more, which is otherwise basically the same, to get a macintosh driver. Why? Beats me. But I know for sure there isn't a good reason.
Summary: This HP Printer lasted less than a year. Constant problems with paper misfeeds, envelopes expecially. Finally, it stopped feeding paper at all. The cartridges for this nearly exceed the cost of the printer.
Summary: I am happy with it...but I wish that you included a book with it I do not know if I can ever do color or do I have to buy another cartridge????Is it possible to make copies or is it just what I want to print from the computer...This is new for me..I needed my son in law to help me ...
Summary: This printer died on me after less than a year. It is so cheesy that it does n't even have an off switch. You have to unplug it to turn it off. This is the second laser I had from HP, and they both died young.
Summary: I have an HP LaserJet 5L that I like. When I needed a printer for a second office, I bought this one largely because of the HP name. I regret my purchase. It was inexpensive, but it's incompatible with Linux and lacks standard Centronics connectivity.
