Summary: This printer worked well for a few years then, like all this rest, died for no reason. It wasn't over used, or even a daily printer for that matter, but it still managed to break. If you're looking for a decent short-term printer than it may be okay for you.
Summary: Bought many printers before but after a time they gave out because I don't print very often. This printer has worked good since the day I plugged it in. Color is great and still prints good even though it may be weeks between printings. Good product, good choice, good for small print jobs.
Summary: I have had HP printers for the last 20 years. Loved them, but found ink replacement costs unreasonable. My daughter bought this, told him how easy it was to set up, and how cheap the ink refills are. So I bought it, and LOVE it.
Summary: I had nothing but problems with this printer, if I could rate it a half a star, I would. I had it a year and was never able to use it, it wouldn't pick up the paper at all. I bought new ink cartridges for it thinking that would help and it didn't at all.
Summary: I Had this printer for 1 year and barely ever used it. It would always give me difficulties, would rarely be able to catch the paper and overall did a poor job of printing. Will never purchase another one of HP's printers because of this. Absolute garbage.
Summary: I was tired of spending a lot of money and then even more on high end printers and all in one's. In the end they all gave trouble and the ink was too expensive to replace.I bought this for about 40 bucks thinking it would work a short time then throw it away.
I have just returned it to the shop and I really feel relieved
9 December 2009
Summary: Just to confirm that this is really a bad piece of equipment. Very frustrating, we spent a week fighting with the bogus "paper jam" messages, "our of ink" (on a new cartridge!), red-only prints... I was really relieved when I returned it to the shop (I did not buy through Amazon).
Summary: I have several issues with this machine. -For some reason, installed ink cartridges tend to leak (Maybe this is a commentary on inkjet printers in general). And this is official hp ink product CC640WN (for example) that I'm talking about. Of course, this doesn't happen all the time.
