Summary: I had this same printer for five years and it never let me down until when moving i dropped it and broke it. It prints at a good speed and the Cartriges are not the expensive and last quite a long time before running out of toner.
Summary: Looking back on the reviews before writing this makes me laugh. Printers don't normally come with USB cords anymore regardless of the manufacturer. This is a very decent model that works perfectly and surprisingly clear output compared with the simple navigations. The ink is not expensive but don't buy this if you are printing all the time. Buy it if you need to print a few times a week and you won't see the ink drain like water.
Summary: I've been using this printer for several years. I bought it because it was the cheapest one at the store (around $30), and I just needed something to print text. I can say with confidence, that it prints text. I have also had no technical problems with it at all, as it is very simple. It's also light, and doesn't take up a lot of desk space. It will print color images, but not well, and it will blow through a ton of ink doing it.
Summary: It's just wonderful spending your day shopping, thinking you have everything. You get home all excited to install your new printer.. only to find there is no black cartridge or USB cord. Also the ink runs out very quickly, I think I have only printed a maximum of 30 pages before it ran out. Thanks HP.
Summary: The box clearly says it includes a black ink cartridge... beware, HP must be broke, they decided to NOT include a black in the packaging. Nothing like buying a new product to HP, thinking you have all you need, and having to spend another $15 to buy ink. DO NOT BUY THIS.
Summary: bought this printer for our grandchildren to use with our old computer, they love it, so do we, it's compact, works excellent, and takes a beating. (as we know children are impatient, "are we there yet") no matter how they treat it, it keeps on working.
