HORRIBLE. Terrible. DON'T BUY NO MATTER HOW CHEAP. Worst printer ever. JUNK. Barely functions. WARNING!
26 October 2014
Summary: DON'T BUY ONE. Not even off of Craigslist for a dollar. Don't even accept it if your relative gives it to you for free. It will bring a pox to your home. What a terrible printer. Barely ever works. I usually have to hit "print," on my PC, then RESTART the entire computer, then the document will usually print. And I've installed and re-installed all the drives and software. It's just a straight-up piece of junk.
Summary: I purchased this printer because of it's size (desktop size) and to print out small stuff. This printer is okay at best when it's working properly. When I submit documents to print and I have to reboot the computer for the printer to work or reinstall the printer and/or drivers on a consistent basis. It is not economical on ink either! I would not buy again. HP you dropped the ball on this one. I have always purchased HP but I think I'm going to try another brand.
The Cadillac of Inexpensive Printers... Well, the Cimarron, Anyway
Erik I., Amazon

Summary: This printer really is the Cadillac of inexpensive printers- well, the Cadillac Cimarron, that is. Looks (mostly) like the real deal, but underneath, it's nothing but crap. I will admit that there are two things that made me feel good about this printer- the fact that I personally didn't spend money on it (my family had it sitting around at home and I took it with me to college for free), and the day I watched it disappear into a recycling shredder.
Excerpt: Printing is an un-escapable job if you work in the publishing business. I, myself get quite preoccupied in terms of printing texts for my drafted layouts. It’s like crafting with papers and scissors – a gradeschooler’s tedious project.
Sellagreed to return but won't recover shipping costs but it could have been worse. Was going to look for good used golf ...

Summary: Printer never worked. Message said there was a paper jam before any was even put in. Spent an hour trying to fix it but impossible. Sellagreed to return but won't recover shipping costs but it could have been worse. Was going to look for good used golf clubs but am leery now.
Summary: I bought this at a box store for less than $35, and it came with ink...cheaper than replacing the ink on my photo printer, so I thought I'd buy it instead. It WORKS, but barely. EVERY time I print nearly, I have to reset my print spooler in Services in Windows 7. When I first called with the problem (shortly after I bought it!), HP was nice and walked me through it, evidently it's a common problem with this printer.
