The Cadillac of Inexpensive Printers... Well, the Cimarron, Anyway

Summary: This printer really is the Cadillac of inexpensive printers- well, the Cadillac Cimarron, that is. Looks (mostly) like the real deal, but underneath, it's nothing but crap. I will admit that there are two things that made me feel good about this printer- the fact that I personally didn't spend money on it (my family had it sitting around at home and I took it with me to college for free), and the day I watched it disappear into a recycling shredder.
Excerpt: Printing is an un-escapable job if you work in the publishing business. I, myself get quite preoccupied in terms of printing texts for my drafted layouts. It’s like crafting with papers and scissors – a gradeschooler’s tedious project.

Summary: Printer never worked. Message said there was a paper jam before any was even put in. Spent an hour trying to fix it but impossible. Sellagreed to return but won't recover shipping costs but it could have been worse. Was going to look for good used golf clubs but am leery now.
Summary: I bought this at a box store for less than $35, and it came with ink...cheaper than replacing the ink on my photo printer, so I thought I'd buy it instead. It WORKS, but barely. EVERY time I print nearly, I have to reset my print spooler in Services in Windows 7. When I first called with the problem (shortly after I bought it!), HP was nice and walked me through it, evidently it's a common problem with this printer.
Summary: I can't even begin to describe the rage this printer fills me with. After the ridiculously long install complete with all kinds of attempts to get you to install even more bloatware, the thing rarely works. And by rarely I mean never. Eventually I took it outside and smashed it with a bat, that was by far the best I have felt about this purchase. I will never, ever buy another hp printer. Ever.
Summary: Probably the worst printer I have ever owned! Prints poorly even after alignment (seems as if the ink is old) Prints 1/2 pages Even cheap printers shut off automatically--NOT this one! It's small and light and a bright shiny black--about the only positives! No USB cable included. Be careful on installation or they install all kinds of crap on your computer! Just a poor quality printer.
Summary: cheap printer that so far has been an amazing purchase... it works perfectly for home or a small office because it can handle the load without too much trouble... pair it with the extra-large ink cartridges and you'll get even more out of it...
Summary: I bought this printer in 2011 from Wal-Mart for about $20 as something that was small and I could print out the occasional paper that is needed for classes. I did not know a USB cord was needed for it, I tired a few other printer cords I had laying around and they wouldn't work so I ended up ordering the correct printer cord for about $5 from the HP website.
