Excerpt: For about a year, I’ve been relying on my HP Deskjet D1520 printer for my printing needs from home. I feel that it works efficiently and gets the job done. It may not be the flashiest out there, but for the price, it has great value. I was able to obtain the Deskjet D1520 printer at Wal-Mart for reasonable price of less than $50.00 US. This seems like a steal compared to other basic printers at office supply stores selling for prices easily over $100.
Summary: I really needed this item for the level of typing I do. The only problem I had was that an instruction book for the printer was not included which gave me some difficulty with installation. It arrived in a timely manner and was very well packed. For the amount of money I wanted to spend it was fine.
Summary: I keep this printer on hand and use it as an emergency backup printer. The reason I bought it for this purpose is that I only paid $15.00 for it new. Not sure where these other prices are coming from.
Summary: This little gem is no longer sold by HP, so I came to Amazon to purchase one. The new one was $100 more than I originally paid and so I purchased this used model. I kept my fingers crossed hoping it would be okay. The seller included the cables and a printer cartridge and I plugged it in. Unfortunately, no CD with the driver was included.
Summary: Do not buy this printer....after my experience I'm going to stop buying from HQ altogether. I installed a fresh brand new cartridge and for some reason it kept seeing it as empty. HQ has some sort of proprietary memory in the printer that prevents printing if it deems the cartridge is empty (even when it's not).... Very angry. This is a brand new cartridge, but the stupid proprietary software is preventing any printing at all, all it does is blink.
Summary: As long as I keep it well inked, it runs smoothly and it is certainly easily handled. Every two weeks when I have housecleaning, I close the door and it peacefully goes asleep until the door is opened once again and it awaits another signal.
Summary: Hello. I write this message to warn everybody about buying this printer. I purchased this machine at Walmart for $15 dollars when my old printer was stolen. The price of both cartridges (black and tritone) is around $30, twice the price of the machine. HP is getting rich by selling these expensive cartridges. Don't by this printer; don't let corporate HP steal your hard earned money.
