Summary: I love cheap printers that get the job done... this is one of them. I have bought several low end HP Printers over the last several years because many times the ink to replace the printers is more than the printer, so i just buy a new one.
Summary: I really recommend spending a little more money and upgrade to a faster printer. The quality is alright, but don't get in a hurry for a multi-page report. It has the HP name, but for a little more money, go with a higher quality printer. It would work as a back up though.
Summary: I opened the box yesterday and I got several problems after then. First of all, the installation CD is bundled with ton of software and it took more than 100MB just to install the driver I really want, I don't understand why HP forces the user to install so many garbage products on user's machine?! Once I installed the software and wired the cable properly and then tried to print, most times it didn't work at all and keep saying paper jam.
Summary: I have had this printer for a while and can count on one hand the times it actually works. You turn it on and makes a dramatic scene banging and whirring and clicking for about 10 seconds. You would think with all this noise it could actually print. No. If its not sucking up multiple pieces of paper at once and printing across all of them then its just getting jammed and wrinkling the paper. Most of the time it just doesn't print.
Summary: I purchased this printer a few years ago when my other hp all in one scanner copier finally died. This is a basic, no-frills printer. paper tray holds about 80 sheets of paper. requires two cartridges, one for color and other one for black. I suggest you print one test page per week to keep the ink cartridges from drying up and clogging the nozzles. the cartriges are VERY EXPENSIVE.
Summary: ive had this printer for about a year. It came free with a pc purchase, so i will be basing my review on that fact. The negatives of this printer are that it is extremely noisy. Ive never heard of another printer this loud. Its very cheaply made so you have no physical adjustments. hp claims that this has a ink level viewer, but even after updating to a different driver, i still have not been able to locate it. The pluses are that the quality for b/w is great.
