Summary: I got this printer for FREE. Yes FREE. It was not a gift per say. I was at a yard sale and this guy after talking to me goes into his garage and brings out this dusty printer. He tells me, I can have it for FREE. If I can get it to work, all well and good, if I cannot, to just throw it in the trash. So I thank him for his generosity and take the printer home. I use a can of PC Ultra duster (forced air) and a lightly wet rag and clean up the printer.
Summary: I've owned this printer for many years and still love it. Thankfully HP still makes ink cartridges for it. Fingers crossed it doesn't give out because I don't think they now make them like they used to.
Summary: Solid printer that doesn't run out of ink every two weeks. Color printing is nothing fancy, but if you do mostly black and white printing it works good and lasts long time. Two things: it's a little loud during printing if that is a problem for you. Also, DO NOT try to feed in extra paper when the printer is active. Wait for everything to stop before loading more paper. If you "confuse" it, you will experience a very painful reset process and waste a lot of paper.
Summary: I purchased my HP Deskjet 6122 about six years ago, and have had absolutely no trouble with it--I love it! My prior HP printers, not so much. I did a lot of research before I purchased this model, and it has lived up to it's great reviews. I actually logged on to the computer today to see if I could find another one for my office printer, as it has been such a reliable workhorse.
Summary: I have used this printer for awhile, and the quality is amazing. When I bought a new desktop (with Vista), the only driver offered is an alternative; however, you lose ALOT of resolution with this. There are other ways, but overall, don't get this is you need high-quality and you run Vista.
