Summary: HP lists this printer as being Vista compatible. If you look carefully at their Vista driver information (HP.com driver downloads) for this printer it notes that the Vista driver provides limited functionality. My HP 5550 printer was also listed as being Vista compatible and limited functionality which meant that borderless printing was not available, ink levels could not be seen, it didn't recognize the #58 photo cartridge, etc.
Summary: This printer is billed as being a portable printer, with the option of wireless connection. That's what I wanted - a wireless mobile printer. I know I should have checked further and found the other models with all the capabilities. But I didn't. This "moblile printer" has to be plugged in to 115 V, because it has no battery. (Batteries are extra, or are included with an upgraded model.) It also doesn't come with a wireless adapter card - Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
