Summary: I had a printer just like this one for over 5 years and it kept working perfectly. It can print some very impressive pictures on generic glossy photo paper. The newer HP printers are needlessly much more complex. Eventually, the paper feed mechanism broke and I could not fix it. So I bought this one (used) just like it. Since I already had the print cartridges and cables, this was a perfect replacement and has now been working for more than two years.
this printer is fast, prints well, and very durable!

Summary: i bought this printer to replace the same model that i have that i believed was going out on me- made clicking sounds. i was disappointed that i thought i was going to have to throw out the old printer but instead i kept it in a box in our attic until i could see if i could work with it to get it fixed. so in the meantime i bought another printer that i didn't like because it had bloatware but printed ok.
Summary: I purchased this printer in Fall 2004. I used it for household printing needs from that time until November 2011 when it was having some errors and quit working. I think that the 7 years of printing could be some sort of testament to how I feel about this printer. I bought it at Walmart for $30 back in 2004. I purchased it to replace an Epson printer that I purchased in 2003 that only lasted 1 year (but cost $200). This HP has been super reliable.
Summary: I had this printer for a while now and I was lucky I didn't have to print too much. Almost every time I had to print something there was some bad thing going on. Connectors for USB cable and power were losing contact from the beginning, printer would shut down whenever, just because it was losing contact. Paper jams were extremely frequent since the printer grabbed 3-4 or even more pages at once. The power plug has this bulky AC power adapter that covers 3-4 power slots.
Summary: These are great little printers for the price. Very easy to move about and a snap to program. I have owned other brands that have cost much, much more but quality wise and features, dollar for dollar you can't beat the 3500 and 3700 series printers from HP. I am saddened to learn HP no longer make these models. That's a shame! but I am glad to have found good used ones here on ebay.
Summary: THIS 3745 PRINTER IS GOING ON THREE YEARS AND STILL PUMPING OUT PRETTY COLOR COPIES. IT CLUNKS AND IS VERY NOISY BUT IT WORKS. NOW AND THEN THE PRINTER KIND OF GETS STUCK AND I THINK IT IS TIME FOR A NEW ONE. BUT I JUST UNPLUG IT AND ON IT GOES, SHAKING ITS WAY THROUGH MORE PRINTING AND FINISHING WITH A LOUD BAM. NOT FOR HEAVY OFFICE USE, IT IS A LOVABLE PET OF A PRINTER FOR HOME.
