CP2025 Color Printer - Print Problem

R. Finnick, Amazon
11 February 2014
  • Summary: BUYER BEWARE: Purchased the HP CP2025 2 yrs ago for home office use. This printer is rated to print 40,000 pages per month. I am a Realtor and in the past two years I have printed 10,000 pgs according to the printer utility on the printer. About one month ago the printer started printing poorly, wavy text, enlarge or shrink text, horrible output.

Waste of money

Mich, Amazon
23 November 2010
  • Summary: I had several HP products in the past including an inkjet printer which worked fine. I decided to get this laser printer for my small business. From day one the print quality has been terrible. Everything prints with a yellow hue and off margin. I have contacted HP Support on these issues on at least three different occasions and these issues are yet to be resolved.

"HP 1200 printer cheap and will break/burn out quickly"

popwisdom222, CNET
15 November 2010
  • Pros: It was cheap. But you get what you pay for.
  • Cons: The tech support is terrible! I have a simple blinking light for replacement of ink cartridge or a open door but both are fine. Tech support wants me to pay extra "fee" for info. To bad computers/technology is not built to last!

Misprint Issue/Error

Trevor Sealy, Amazon
2 October 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this printer about a year ago and I noticed that whenever I did multiple prints the printer would error out and a message would come up saying misprint and press "ok" to continue. This would occur over and over again. This issue also caused wasted pages as the printer would print the same page twice. I got fed up today and decided to research the problem on an HP forum and also on the internet; to my horror this problem is rampant with this model.

Don't waste your money

Sue Bechtel, Amazon
11 July 2010
  • Summary: Buyer beware. I received this printer from my company for my home office and after 5 months it completely stopped working due to an error code that I cannot reset on the printer. After installing a replacement ink cartridge you, too, are likely to receive an error code telling you to "remove shipping lock" from the replaced ink cartridge even if you have already removed the shipping lock (which is a plastic strip you pull out before installation).

  • Pros: Working until you have any small problem.
  • Cons: - When having any problem, you are doomed. - And you still have to pay astronomical price for cartridges.

Great printer shame it can't print in colour

Chimplord, Amazon
29 April 2011
  • Summary: The CD software don't work with Windows 7 so you are limited to the universal print driver which bascically allows you to print in black and white - Excel, Word, PDF are a non starter in colour..

TOO NOISY for small office

Mr. M. Dicker "Mike", Amazon
21 April 2011
  • Summary: Set this up in small ofice environment. Sitting next too this is like being next to a jet aircraft taking off, its quite alarming compared to a colour injet printer. I will try to return the printer to Amazon. The noise level when printing is about 61dB. For a remote printer would probably be ok. But sitting next to this would prove very tiresome, very quickly. Look for something else if installing in small office environment.
