Summary: I've had this printer for 6 months now, and its been nothing but frustration. Out of the box it worked great, but ~ 1 month later, with light use, it started misprinting every page. Not that there was anything wrong with the actual print but the printer decided it needed to clean itself, recalibrate, and then declare a misprint after each page. It also requires you to hit a button each time to continue.
Summary: I bought this printer a year ago. I am happy enough with the quality of the prints, but now, after owning for a year it is nearly out of toner. I use this in my office and don't print that much and actually print very little color. I am now almost out of toner and see that it will cost about $400 to buy the four HP cartridges needed (I don't trust clones). I can buy the same brand new printer for $350!!! What a rip-off!
Summary: Printing speed very slow. Printing a 56 page catalogue takes over an hour. Printer continuously pauses between pages. Excellent for single page jobs. Startup is fast.Quality of print is excellent. I would not recommend this printer for volume, multipage printing.
Summary: As other reviewers have noted, the install software doesn't work with Windows 7 (how is this possible?) and that's on a standard Dell machine, nothing weird. But it finds a driver and gets going and when it works it's just fine -- compared to what you'd expect in speed and image quality it won't blow you away, but it's good. Mine has stopped working a couple of times.
Summary: After decades of great success with Hewlett Packard gear (both as a salesman and technician) I decided to pick up this printer to help keep costs down for my non-profit. We do very little printing and certainly cannot afford the $0.62/pg that the copy shops are charging. Opening the box... Disappointed with how flimsy the unit feels. Yes, I know it's on the less expensive end of color laser printers, but I was hoping it would be sturdier than your standard "free" inkjet.
Summary: Comments about HP LaserJet CP2025DN Printer: The color is sharp. It was a great upgrade from my Color Laserjet 4550CN model. However when printing from certain programs, it takes an extremely long time to spool the print job to the printer and in most cases, it never prints the job. When it does start to print, it is a job with print/font "symbols" at the top of the page. This continues to print until all paper in bin is used or the power is shut off.
Pros: Compact Design, Sharp tones & colors
Cons: Slow Print Time, Takes too to spool jobs, Unreliable
Summary: The printer installed fine under Windows XP, but failed to print anything but the testpage under Vista 64 bit. Driver updates for the CP2025dn (2020 -series) did not resolve the issue. I would get the following message: PCL XL error Subsystem: KERNEL Error: IllegalOperatorSequence Operator: EndSession Position: 14 Looking at several posts in HP's forum or (lack of) Knowledge Base did not produce anything useful.
Summary: To understand my complaint, you need to understand the system we use at our small firm: Every letter we send out requires two hard copies for our file. We send out the letter on high-quality paper, and use generic white paper for the copies. Although this printer allows you to insert two types of paper (one in the main tray, and another in the accessory tray), there is a significant delay when going from one to the other (it prints on the copy paper, then searches for...
Pros: Printing is fast. I do like the ability to use paper in multiple sizes but haven't tried that yet. Hope it's not like the touted duplexing.
Cons: The printing is fast but I bought this model because it is supposed to have duplexing. That may work but NOT ON A MAC!!! I am furious. I could have bought one w/out duplexing for $50 + tax less. I think this is a fraud.
Summary: I bought one of these as a replacement for a previous HP colour printer when it first came out around 2 tears ago. It installed without any issues and worked for about a year, producing beautiful colour prints. However over the last year it has developed the 'dreaded' misprint / cleaning issue which no amoun t of firmware updating or reconfiguring has cured. It also constantly suffers paper jams in tray 2 and wont feed from tray 1 at all.
