Good printer for the price.
17 March 2014
Summary: We have several of these printers. We purchased most if not all off of EBAY. They do a great job for the price. They are basically unrepairable and when they are at end of life or quit working save for parts.
Summary: When the printer finally prints, it is fine. However, multiple times throughout the day the printer recalibrates itself in a very loud and annoying fashion. This is particularly annoying when you on the phone and the person on the other end can't hear you because your printer is as loud as a vacuum cleaner behind you. It also periodically cleans itself very loudly and has long delays before it prints while it recalibrates, cleans and does self maintenance.
Summary: I've had this printer about a year and it is still working great. Happy with this purchase. I do have problems with generic toner though. The machine works great with HP toner, but I get powder splatter marks all over the first piece of paper out of the machine each time, when I use generic toner. Just a heads up people.
Summary: I have owned this color laser printer for a couple of years. I found the price competitive and cost-effective to operate. I have not had a single issue with the device. I highly recommend the printer to others needing a color laser printer for a home or small office.
Summary: Purchased this printer 3 years ago because of the duplex printing function. It was also on sale for 450. Color printing wasn't a priority for me, but it's nice to have. Just to note, I use non-retail cartridges. The replacement cartridges from HP run from 90-100 dollars, something I can't afford. But the $40 alternatives last only a year or so. The non-retail cartridges also drain down, even when I only use black, which is odd.
Summary: just over a year old and coming up with "cleaning" after one page then "misprint". this HP is a POS not worth $100 if it starts acting up after one year. don't think about buying this HP, keep looking.
Great Printer...except having to purchase the toner

Summary: As with any printer, it is only as good as the ink or toner cartridges you put into it. Since HP wants so much for their toner cartridges, we have been tying other manufacturers' cartridges in it. After three or four attempts we have finally found some that work well and consistently. If HP would just price the cartridges reasonably, we wouldn't have to jump through hoops.
The case was faded and it had a strong machine oil it smell but it seems to work as advertised.

Summary: I am happy with the printer. The machine oil smell and the faded case worried me at first but it seems to work OK. There was no software or instructions but luckily I friend had an identical machine and I borrowed their disc. I would say the machine was as advertised.
Summary: Color LaserJet Printer: I bought this as an office printer for light printing and making marketing brouchers. The printer works great and the quality is number one. The material that I print with this printer comes up great and very professional looking. I rn a few hundred brouchers at a time. Very fast and top quality.
