Summary: Great color printer. We bought this to save money by printing our business brochures in small batches rather than ordering from a professional printer. The quality is of course not as great as the pro copies, but works fine for our small business. I've had problems with getting it to stay connected to WiFi recently, but otherwise very satisfied.
Summary: I was trying to find a printer which works well with Ubuntu Linux. I first bought a brother which was supposed to work with Linux but didn't. The hp was relatively easy to set up. You have to go to their website to get the drivers. At first, when printing a PDF file from Firefox, it would take forever. It would print two pages and then just sit there for about a minute. Then it would print two more, etc.
Summary: I love HP and their printers. This product is no exception. It was easy to setup and prints great. Very useful for printing homeschool assignments!! My only disappointment was that the product was noted as packaging damage but it appeared that it had been used. The ink cartridges were already installed when I got it. No big deal because it works great!
GREAT PRINTER SO FAR-USE USB CABLE TO SET UP WIRELESS INSTALL

Summary: I bought the printer in July and it took me until 8/24/14 to get the courage to install it. I was barely able to get the wireless printing capability to work on my HP Laser Jet 1102w last year so I was fearful I would run into problems. I Initially ran into trouble getting the first computer (an iMAC) to recognize the printer. I soon realized I had to use the USB cable that came with the printer to do a "wireless install.
Excerpt: I like this printer very much, the wireless set up is a chore that I have not been able to figure out yet. Color and speed is very good, will see how well it works down the road. For under $300 I think it is a good deal.
Summary: This printer was purchased as the default printer for my classroom computer lab after the HP 4250n that was originally in the lab required expensive maintenance for continued use. That baby lasted years and over 100,000 prints. Unfortunately, the drum unit, toner cartridge, along with other minor parts needed replacement- costing significantly more than what my school was willing to spend (Which was zero).
Summary: This product replaced the same model which had heavy use but finally gave out. The old model was about 6 years old. One complaint for the new model is when I put the HP 305A black ink cartridge from the old model into the new one, it would not authenticate. All the other colors from the old were put into the new and they authenticated. Second complaint is the new model is taking a long time to print once I click on print from my computer.
