Summary: The printer was delivered on time but due to the crazy price of $550.i am returning it back this week. After buying it , I did research it to find out that this 5550 model has been discontinued. My old one was repaired and works fine.
Summary: We were sent a broken printer. We wrote to them to tell them what was wrong, they asked us to do a number of things, we complied and it was not fixed. They insisted that it was the toner that was the problem (even though they never bothered to send anyone to even come look at the printer).
Summary: I have replaced the cartridges the ones sent with the printer did not pass diagnostics test, The Cyan cartridge ( on my third cartridge ) still does not pass diagnosis tests and the color resolution and picture resolution are very bad the printer is virtually unusable.
Summary: This is certifiably the worse nightmare product I have ever bought. After paying $4000 for it 5 years ago, the printer began to have multiple print quality problems within the first year and half. From that point on it was one maddening experience with HP [lack of] support after another.
Summary: This machine jams paper routinely. When it does work, it does a decent job of printing while quickly using up its expensive cartridges. I am sorry I purchased it, and am looking for a replacement.
Summary: I am afraid I have to agree with the negative reviews concerning the HP 5550. I bought one about 6 weeks ago and it worked fine for the first month. After putting in a refurbished cartridge recently, it printed 1 page and then stopped halfway through the second page, telling me to "check the line".
Summary: I cannot recommend HP to anybody anymore. The company introduced regional coding, which means printer cartridges from one region cannot be used in another. For most this is probably not an issue, for those busily traveling around it is.
Summary: I got this about 6 months ago? Because my dad had gotten one like it.. it printed alot faster than the sucky lexmark that my mom had, but it was only printing in black and white so they took it back. I thought maybe it was just the one that would was messed up. I WAS SO WRONG.
