Pros: Does a great job in paper weight mode. Heavy, Clumsy.
Cons: Had Transfer unit go bad under warranty, HP had to delay us for a month and a half, making us buy another machine anyway. Parts were easy to swap, but so poor quality that they couldn't keep up with demand. We also pre-maturely had to replace the fuser!
Summary: Comments about HP Laserjet 4700DN: Yes, I would say this laser printer is probably the best out there. This is my opinion but I have been through a lot of printers and couldn’t seem to find one that I was happy with. Call me whatever but I expect a lot out of my printers.
Summary: Comments about HP Laserjet 4700DN: I must say the new ColorSphere toner that HP is using with this printer has really impressed us. Our prints and color documents are truly top of the line. Uses a lot of ink, but that is the way of the printer world anyway.
Pros: Accurate Colors, Efficient, Fast, Sharp Detail
Summary: Comments about HP Laserjet 4700DN: Installation was very easy and we experienced absolutely no problems with set up. The machine is very quiet. The machine looks very modern and I think it looks pretty nice in our home office. It prints remarkably fast, and the color quality is very impressive.
Pros: Accurate Colors, Efficient, Fast, Quiet, Sharp Detail
Summary: The printer is pictures with the 750 page stapler/stacker unit but it is not actually included with this printer package. (read the fine print) Newegg should remove the deceiving pictures.
Pros: Low cost per page and total cost of ownership, fast printing, quality color, HP reliability and serviceability. You can use this printer for a long, long time. 1 million pages over the life of the printer is a very reasonable expectation of its lifespan. HP has a monochrome only and a separate co...
Cons: Ginormous and heavy. This is just the way it is with color laser printers. Make sure your thoroughly thought about where your going to put it.
Summary: I've been deploying the higher end of HP lasers (since the LJ 4000) for around 15 years now. This looks to be more of the same - a solid workhorse well worth the initial cost.
Pros: EXTREMELY high quality output, razor-sharp clear lines, outstanding color alignment and quality. Utterly annihilated the office's $20,000 Savin C4535 (which is, to be fair, a copier not just a printer) in both image quality and output speed.
Cons: Not as fast as the Xerox Phaser at the same price (but still blisteringly fast, easily living up to the 31ppm rated).
Summary: This printer is a little spendy, but in the long run, I think it is worth the extra cost to get a higher quality printer and you will end up paying less per page for color printing.
Pros: This printer is fast, efficient, and seems to have everything you need for a work group color printer! This was easy to set up, has a great web interface, and lives up to the 31 PPM that is advertised. Color cost per page is around 8 cents. Black and White is about 1 cent.
Cons: There are not really any cons except that full color photo pages seem to be a little dark, but I believe that it is a setting that I need to adjust, so it still gets a 5 Egg rating.
