Summary: It is simple and works well, the one weakness I have found is they use a plastic gear affixed to a metal shaft that will spin on the shaft and destroy the serrated connection, I was able to fix the problem by glueing the gear to the shaft, I have now purchased a back up and will glue the gear prior to use, otherwise it has served its purpose well.
Summary: good printer for massive jobs. Print color quality not the best, 1200 dpi would be nicer. I like it so far but it is used and so far what i have printed in three days is very nice. no jams. easy menu navigation.
Summary: I think that this is a great printer for the Home Office, and maybe the Small Office user. It prints nice, crisp color and black/white prints, and is very fast once it warms up. I think that I was getting about 15-20 pages a minute. However, this is not a photo printer, so if your looking to make quality photo prints, this is not the printer for you.
Summary: Printer is very large, make sure you have adequate space. Color printing is very good. B&W printing is also good, but considerably slower than B&W only laser printer. But good product overall.
Summary: I bought this printer during my freshman year of college, wanting a reasonably cheap printer to avoid having to constantly trek to the library to print papers. While my friends who have bought similar HP models have had problems with them, I've found this printer to be reliable and suitable for my needs.
Summary: My former printer was HP's 820C DeskJet, now discontinued. So I wasn't prepared for the noise made by the 3550 or the fact that it's a lot slower. But I was very pleased with how easily it was set up! Print quality is superb for a machine this inexpensive and I've experienced no paper jams.
