HP only replace a BLEND NEW printer with REFURBLISHED UNIT
14 December 2007
Summary: After installing and setup my blend new HP Deshjet 3550 printer according to instruction, I tried to print some docummnet. The printer jammed right away and the on/off light was blinking constantly. After clearing the paper jam and tried to print, it jammed again.
Summary: Don't bother - very disappointing for an HP product. This printer fails to print consistently and "carriage stalls" frequently. This defect is clearly well known at HP Support. The manual solution, while effective, is not a real answer. Save your time and money on this one.(...)
Summary: I have always been a big fan of HP printers. I have an HP 920c at work and love it. I was trying to find one for my home but they have discontinued it. Instead I bought this one and have been so disappointed with it. It jams all the time and the color isn't as good as the 920c.
Summary: I have had many printers in my time, but i have to say this is the worst printer i have ever seen! I actually paid for it aswell!, i could of got a free printer with my computer, but instead i upgraded and got this! Like many people have said, its: - always jamming! Every time!
Summary: This printer is not worth your time and frustration. I received it essentially free--for the nominal price of one Slovenian tolar, or about half a US cent--when I bought a new HP computer. Even at that price, it was not a good value.
Summary: Well, maybe buy if all you are doing is printing from Office. This printer uses a host based driver that doesn't work well with non-Office products. I am trying to print from a financial program and it won't work. I contacted HP and was told politely "too bad".
Summary: Our office prints a small amount (50 pages/day/machine) but this printer lasted only two months before it started to produce spots in all colors all over the pages. We called HP and they said it was a firmware issue. Yeah, right. Stay away from this one.
Summary: This printer cost a small fortune to operate!!!!!!!!!! The cartridges cost over $500 per set and we have been using 2 to 4 sets per year even though the printer is just lightly used. That is $1000 to $2000 year. We have has several connective problems as well that required HP technical support.
