Summary: Don't get this color printer unless it is given to you as a gift with free toner cartridges. It does print, but it's slow, takes a long time to warm up, noisy, easily jammed and broken. It's also monstrously heavy.
Summary: I have had this printer HP 2550L for about 10 years now, when this model came out it cost $1200 wish was pricey for me, but I wanted use it for a home business, and I was able to get a floor model for $700 during the holiday season. I am still surprise to see them selling used versions and supplies online. As far a cost it is very affordable as far as performance it is very slow and a bit noisy but it gets the work done.
Summary: This printer was worn out and/or broken when I received it. A couple of the components of the print tray were broken, making printing from it impossible. I knew that it was used when I made the purchase---I just did not know that it was abused also!
Summary: I'm the IT manager at a medium size company and we bought this printer around September 2007. I realise this printer may not be readily available any longer but I wanted to add this for posterity and to link to the other review. I can say that were immediately dissapointed at the fact that it did not have a built in tray, only an external flap and page feeder. It does not do duplex printing. A good lesson to look for these items. Print quality is good.
Summary: This is the worst printer I have ever had to use. It is out of service almost every day. Everyone in the office knows that you cannot print to the HP printer. It demands a constant supply of ink and randomly stops working. When it is working it takes forever to get started, god only knows what it is doing when it is making all that noise, but it's not printing on paper.
