Really nice printer

Mr. M., Newegg
8 May 2007
  • Summary: As always , Newegg treated me right.
  • Pros: Fast. Easy to set up. Duplexer works great. Out of the box and had it going in less than 15 minutes. And did I mention fast?
  • Cons: NO cables? Not a big deal. Most of us already have a printer, so we just use the old cable.

HP Gets It Right

Anonymous, Newegg
6 February 2007
  • Summary: Been through many printers at home & office. The 1200 seems to be very good. Time will be the true test.
  • Pros: Excellent product. Ink cartridges are generous. Duplex feature = A++. Drivers & toolbox software work flawlessly. Firmware upgrade available on HP website.
  • Cons: None so far but it's only been 1 week. Why can't HP include a USB cable? Are the bean counters that tight? HP could take a big chance and include an $8 cable which saves me another ten dollar trip to the store to buy a non-HP branded cable.

Aaron M., Newegg
1 January 2007
  • Pros: This printer is simple, efficient, fast and reliable. The only one reasonably priced with a parrallel port. I bought 2 for my business.
  • Cons: Paper loading takes practice.

Can't beat it....

Gregory R., Newegg
29 March 2006
  • Pros: I bought this printer to do auto duplexing, a job it does very well. For a small office this handles all our printing needs for advertising.
  • Cons: Boxed was already opened before, refurbished maybe? Didn't bother me too much cause everything was intact.

User Review

Clay R., Newegg
15 February 2006
  • Pros: Very fast printer. The duplexing is great, saves a lot of paper for school work. The ink cartrides are large, especially the replacement.
  • Cons: This printer is bigger than most other HP inkjet printers, and it also require a short warm-up period, but either one is nothing to complain about

A year of carefree printing

workaholic, Amazon
23 January 2006
  • Summary: I bought the HP Business Inkjet 1200d out of frustration with dealing with my girlfriend's Lexmark. She doesn't do much printing, so the Lexmark cartridges died quickly with a full inkload.

  • Pros: This printer replaced an HP Deskjet 6122. It has better print quality and is more quiet than the 6122. It is very smooth in its operation and doesn't erratically shoot out the printed pages like the old printer did. It is well built, solid, and has huge capacity ink cartridges that can be found f...
  • Cons: This printer is much larger than most inkjets and requires a short warm up period before it will print.

HP Buusiness Jet Printer

Vicki F., Newegg
20 April 2005
  • Summary: You cannot go wrong with this printer! it is just a printer so if you want copy and scan capabilities, get a scanner to go with it. It is well worth it, though. It gives off clean crisp, sharp images no matter if it is text. graphics or photos.

Really shines when you have lots to print

C. Blenk, Amazon
5 April 2005
  • Summary: I decided to upgrade from my Deskjet 990cse workhorse when I got tired of how long high quality page prints took and how expensive the ink became. I've had this printer for a few months now and really saw it's benefit while putting together a mass mailing to 300 people (some color, 2 pages, mail...

Very Good

D. OCallaghan, Amazon
5 April 2005
  • Summary: I recently purchased this printer because as a grad student I have been printing lots of papers and images. This printer has worked flawlessly and is very fast on draft mode. The duplexing feature is convenient, but is very slow.
