Summary: Attempting to setup Epson Connect on a Mac OSX system. Followed the instructions and "downloaded" the software and was not able to proceed any further.. did not show next steps as mentioned in the setup sheet and could not get Epson Connect to work.
Summary: There is much to like about the Epson XP610 all-in-one printer, but I rated it at only three stars because of ink usage. The printer will stop printing if one of the ink cartridges is depleted, even if the depleted cartridge is yellow and you want to print only in black and white. This means you must constantly have on hand spare cartridges, and you will need A LOT of them because this printer sucks ink at a voracious level from those tiny, tiny cartridges.
Excerpt: The touch-screen on this printer is taking some time to for me to feel comfortable. It is so sensitive that I don't even have to touch the screen for it to register, meaning that I am making mistakes with this machine just because I am not used to it. I do like it because it is faster than my old printer and the copies are very clear and easy to read.
Excerpt: Wireless without a router is a nightmare. Multiple calls to support was a nightmare of the first degree. I finally found the solution that worked., It requires that you look for wireless sources and you must set the network for your computer to be the printer. Outside of US support, Hard to understand support made it difficult to find this solution. You can't use the printer if you have another wifi if there is another source.
Summary: Good printer for the price, with very good features but what an ink hog!! Have not printed much volume since purchased in April (almost exactly 4 months ago) -- and not much in color either (pictures, etc.) -- but have already blown through one black, and almost all the 3-colors plus "photo black" that came with the unit originally. Basic black I understand, but the colors too?? Had I known this, I'd have purchased another competitors inkjet.
Summary: This may be a great printer but the" getting started" brochure with diagrams was very inadequate, unclear. It took a lot of time to find the input paper tray(s) and how to open them. It took a long time to find the output tray as well. I looked to find a handbook guide for clearer diagrams but couldn't find one until I went on line seeking help.
