Excerpt: I bought this printer because I often print large format photos, but also we use it mostly for general printing. I needed something inexpensive but also a printer that is stingy with the ink. So far (it's been 4 weeks), this printer fills all my needs. It's fast, easy to use and does everything I need it to do. I may purchase another one for home! Have been using Epson for eons and have very rarely been disappointed in the products purchased from them.
Summary: I needed a printer capable of producing 11x17 and this one is exactly what I needed. It was easy to setup and with the capacity for the larger ink cartridges I am very happy with it. I've had no problems at all with it and I've used it extensively for the past 4 weeks. It's not a printer I would put in an office with several people, but if you have a home office, or the need to have a wide carriage printer to be shared by 2 or 3 people, this one should work for you.
Summary: I have only printed about 100 sheets. I printed a 60 page doc. on both sides and it worked fine. Can't beat the price ($129). I have an old epson 785Epx which still works, but I wanted a printer that printed on both sides of the paper. I am satisfied with this one, with its speed and the quality of the finished product. I have a PC and purchased this printer so that I would be able to print on both sides of each page of a given document.
Summary: This printer serves my needs very well. Main pluses: double sided printing and capability to print 11x 17 items. Ink installation was a little tricky, but works fine now. Both of these things are hard to find in a reasonably priced printer.
Summary: This is an incredible printer for the price! It was easy to unpack, and set up, just a little heavy/bulky. It has been easy to use. We have a wireless home network for homeschool and a home business. The bigger sized printing was an attractive feature. We have used this printer everything from labels to kids-computer generated art and many other things. It comes ready for two sided printing! No extra purchase required!
Summary: Love this printer.....Make sure you understand that it's not a wireless network printer (needs to be hooked up to a network hub) but for the price it awesome! It is however HUGE so make sure you have lots of room for it. Also love that each color ink has a separate cartridge. And prints borderless so is great for printing 12 x 12 scrapbooking pages which is what I really bought it for!
Summary: Easy install on all networked computers. Just run the installer and plug into router via lan cable when prompted. Installed via wired lan from included cd. Usb connection is also supported for single pc or print server installs. There's an updated firmware and driver, but the cd versions worked fine with Win7 64bit. Pigment ink = water/uv resistant prints. Don't make the mistake of buying dye based refill cartridges or ink.
