Epson WP-4020 Review for Home Use
5 November 2013
Summary: Printer works great. Only complaint is that the Epson app that came with the printer to provide information on status of printer inks does not work on my iMac computer -- even after going to the trouble of registering the printer.
Summary: I have installed my Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4020 Inkjet Printer twice to my laptop. When I try to print from the rear tray, the feature doesn't appear like it did when I had it installed on my PC.
Summary: It took me longer to get it out of the box and ready to set up than it took to set it up on my wifi. Really easy for a change. Happy with performance as advertised and a couple of extras (printing envelopes, etc.) to boot.
Summary: I was looking for a printer that could print envelopes from the rear. This one has that capability and more. It holds about 300 pages in the main paper tray and it could also hold regular paper in the rear tray besides envelopes. Just this fact has saved me oodles of time. I do transcription and it is a real chore to have to do the envelopes separately. I also must add that the ink is superb and long lasting. I have had no problems with the ink at all.
Summary: Bought this printer less than six months ago and it was working great until a couple of months ago. Now it won't pick up the paper from the bottom tray. Printing from the top loader is slooooooow. Wouldn't recommend and won't buy again. I'm not even going to bother with the warranty; just going to replace it.
Summary: Marvelous printer. Only problem was the ink. The instructions state that the factory enclosed ink is good for 900 color pages. However, the lights for red and cyan blinked all the time and I ran out of ink after six pages of color printing.
Summary: I use Mac Systems for my personal and business needs. I find that Epson works best for all my printing needs in conjunction with Mac. The 4020 is all it is meant to be. Ink cartridge sizes, speed, efficiency, and crispness. I would highly recommend this printer for your business if you are looking for the above features. I am pleased with this product and will continue to buy epson solely.
Summary: Well after reading the reviews, i am not alone with this problem. Yellow ink is spurting out all over the paper. Most likely a hardware failure is what I was told. It's a shame because it prints awesome, and it is inexpensive. I purchased the printer in September, 2012, and it died on Oct 13th, 2013.
