Summary: I ordered this printer because my all-in-one failed and had been discontinued. I had leftover ink and the only Epson printer that could use it was the Workforce 30. New ink was more expensive than the printer. This little printer is reminiscent of my original Epson which amazingly still works after 20 or more years. So does my little fax/copier, also ancient. Perhaps the modern all purpose machines have more things that can go wrong.
Summary: I have another model of Epson's WorkForce 30 series. After the wife's older Epson C-86 printer quit for good, I looked for an Epson that used the same ink series as I do, so I could keep only one complete set of ink replacements. My 2011 WorkForce is very reliable, fast, and prints well, but pretty noisy. It appears others had the same problem, because the wife's new one is considerably quieter.
Summary: I love the WF 30 cause this printer does all of my projects. It's compact and a good space saver. I use this printer to produce high quality prints for my t-shirt home-based business, and I have no regrets. I recommend this to anyone who considering as an enty level printer for this type of jobs.
Summary: the epson workforce is aptly named.... its bargain basement- printing that just works. no frills no scanner or dvd label print slots... just a printer...that does printing.... I have no complaints.
