Bad

211dom, Adorama
19 June 2014
  • Excerpt: What good is a printer that doesn't feed properly half the time? Even standard 8 1/2 X 11 paper or worse yet is a little heavier certificate type stock that doesn't feed at all. Going back to my good old reliable C88+. May be a bit slower but gets the job done.

Ink Conspiracy

DocAnne, Adorama
21 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I do not like this printer and here's why. It has 5 ink cartridges, and when any single one of them is out of ink, the printer will not print until it is replaced. If it is one of the three color cartridges, you cannot make it just print B&W. It stops in midst of a print job, and will not resume until you replace the empty cartridge. Thus, one must always have a ready supply of replacement ink.

NOT best for black and white printing

Carri3w, Epson
5 November 2013
  • Summary: Printer works well for both color and black and white prints, but if an ink cartridge runs out the device will not print. This includes all ink- yellow, red, blue and BOTH blacks. Very frustrating. When you buy the combination pack of ink it only comes with ONE black ink. Epson designed the machine to only run when BOTH blacks have ink in them, so you would have to buy the combination pack AND an additional black just to print.

An excuse to sell ink

discusted, Epson
9 September 2013
  • Summary: printer drains ink. Constant cleaning empties color inks even if you only print in B&W. Will not print with empty color inks even if you select black / gray scale printing.
