Summary: Printer works well for both color and black and white prints, but if an ink cartridge runs out the device will not print. This includes all ink- yellow, red, blue and BOTH blacks. Very frustrating. When you buy the combination pack of ink it only comes with ONE black ink. Epson designed the machine to only run when BOTH blacks have ink in them, so you would have to buy the combination pack AND an additional black just to print.
Epson Says USB Not Important to Supply With Printer

Summary: I was very disappointed that the Epson WorkForce 30 Color Printer does not come with a USB cable. The cable is essential for the working of this equipment. You cannot complete the installation without the USB cable and Epson does not consider supplying the cable important or necessary. When I called their center to complain, I was told it was not their policy to supply the cable and that I can buy the cable at any computer outlet store.
Summary: I am not prone to vent about products that stop working. Purchasing a printer from Epson has turned into the absolute worst consumer electronics experience I've ever had. Epson's customer support is UNBELIEVABLY lame, their products are horrible, and their supply chain for replacement parts is ridiculously bad. I purchased an Epson MX-800 6 months ago, it has been replaced twice, and the third one still does not work.
get ready to spend money for ink cartridges if you are buying this printer...

Summary: This is a good quality printer but it cost a lot to operate! We have this printer for few months and we have already replaced ink cartridge 6 times! yes, 6 times! We do not use the printer often - just occasional for printing homework for school or work. If one of the ink cartridges is low (not even empty!), this machine shut down and won't even print anything until you replace it to a new cartridge.
Summary: I was looking for a printer to use Sublimation ink in and Amazon stated that it was "Frequently bought with" Ciss System and Ink. I purchased the Printer and Ciss system in a bundle kind of deal. Wish I hadn't. The printer doesn't recognize the Ciss system any longer even though it never ran low on ink, the tanks have always been over half full. I purchase a new chip set for the Ciss system and that didn't even correct the problem.
Summary: instructions said not to insert the product CD if you have Mac S X10.7 Lion. I have Mac OS 10.6.8 so I proceeded. the information I got with the Quick Guide does not relate to what I see on my computer I finally figured out how I could make it operate (4] I have a terrible time loading the paper, must do it time and time again before it stops crinklling one corner and it finally prints it makes an unbelievably loud noise when it does choose to print ...

Summary: One thing often overlooked when buying a printer is the cost of keeping the thing going once purchased. Research is done, reviews are read, and naturally the focus is on the quality of print, functions, reliability, etc. Often questions like "how long will my ink last and how much will it cost to replace it ?" are forgotten.
