Summary: This is the second one of these units we have bought just for making heat press transfers (making t-shirts) and it's fast, reliable and prints very smooth. There are refill kits out there that make it even better to use. This price is crazy!
Summary: Easy set up, awesome print quality in black and white and color. Photos print well too but not as good as a pricey photo printer. Print quality compared to the HP3800 Laser printer with little difference in print quality.
Summary: Having read some of the reviews, I was anxious to receive and try this printer. I was NOT at all disappointed. As the ratings show, I don't think there could possibly be any printer that is better. When you throw in price, quality and speed, you can't go wrong.
Summary: I bought this primarily to print my black and white sketches on watercolor paper and paint over! The ink dries waterproof and sharp! It's an awesome printer for the price and I love that it can print larger format paper!
Summary: BIG printer, I did not buy mine from newegg. I picked mine up from Cobra Inks with a constant ink supply system that allows me to print and use bulk pigment ink. This printer, with a CISS is probably the best printer I have EVER had.
Pros: Fast printing, 1440 DPI is plenty for most folks especially for wide format printing. Larger prints are often viewed at a much farther distance anyways. A local sign shop only ever actually prints with theier ECO/SOLvent Printer @ 72dpi with vector artwork.
Cons: Ink hog, and ink is relatively expensive if you wish to stick with the factory dura-brite pigment ink.... But this is an issue with ANY inkjet printer.
Summary: I have no regrets buying this printer and I am sure it will serve me well for years to come. My old 1280 was a refurb after my new one was damaged and that refurb printer is now at least 8 years old. It is built like a tank and I assume the 1100 is similar but much lighter on the pocketbook.
Pros: Install went smoothly after downloading Windows 7 64 bit drivers. This is a very fast machine and I look forward to using it to print my holiday cards. I do about 50 of them and no two are alike. This printer will join my working Epson line of the venerable 1280 and the little C88+. I am VERY sat...
Cons: This printer is BIG and heavy. I thought my 1280 was big but this one will give you a hernia. It also is not pretty and reminds me of an overgrown lunch box, yet it is smooth operating and efficient.
Summary: I use this large format printer for all my garden design projects. I've owned this printer for about 10 months. The 11x17 sheet size accommodates most of my plans and work sketches. The print quality, speed and device price were factors in selecting this printer. I haven't been disappointed.
Summary: The color prints from this unit are the best of any printer I've ever used. I also have a canon mp, and comparing prints side by side the canon prints are sad. The epson is kind of loud and clunky, but that doesn't really matter to me. I paid $129 delivered, and for that price it's a steal.
Summary: The printer is big so make sure you have enough space. It may take some time to figure out the correct settings when printing, but once they're set you'll be good to go. I had some problems getting the right color for photographs.
Pros: The price paid for this printer is totally worth it. It makes beautiful prints and in many sizes.
