Summary: I bought this printer because of the large printing out put. If I only knew the problems that I would soon be having with this printer I would never have bought this printer. In the beginning it will work perfect no problems. However, once a color is out it will not let you continue to print until you replace the empty cartridge.
Summary: Can you say "Don't forget to use all your new ink cartridges to TRY to clear the CLOG?" I now know Epson's customer service stinks. I give up on their less than stellar inks and going to say hello to a non-Epson printer. I am NOT the kind who wants to get out my tools and service this think like a roadside mechanic. Ain't happenin', I'm just sayin'.
Summary: This printer seemed like it was too good to be true and sure enough, it was. Every time I want to print, I have to re-align and clean the nozzles. If it sits for so much as a week without printing, I have to re-align and clean it. It doesn't print very well in general when it does print. I'm going to buy an HP Photosmart next time. You do NOT want to print photos or artwork on this machine, they will not retain any of the richness you see on screen.
Summary: I needed a large format printer after my old HP finally gave up the ghost after 10 years of use. Bought the Epson WorkForce 1100. Flat out, I will never purchase an Epson printer again. I almost think that this unit was created as part of some scam to consume ink. First off, the color is blah, but that was if it actually printed out anything that was halfway viewable.
Summary: The ad said this item is like new but it is not...the ink cartridge cover is missing, the paper jams because the paper dispenser mechanisms must be damaged. If I had been told this from the start I would not have wasted my time and money.
Summary: As a graphic designer I still after all these years cannot understand why Epson is rated highly among designers. My first one 20 years ago was a piece of junk, this one I had high hopes. Heres the problems: 1) Ink hog, after unclogging after low usage I only got less than 10 11 x 14 color prints. Colors were vivid and bright a little too much. I prefer the compatables that are bright but not neon like Epson. 2) This is what gets me.
Summary: The printer never recognizes the new printer cartridges. I always have to call Customer Service to walk through several trouble shooting steps to get it to recognize them. It wastes at least an hour of my day trying to change cartridges. But this time, Epson only offered to replace cartridges and REFUSED to help me troubleshoot it. I will NEVER buy an Epson product again.
Summary: Beware!! This printer works for a short time, then the black stops working & needs Ink head cleaning. In the ink head cleaning you can use a whole cartridge of magenta, cyan or yellow getting the black to work. And it is worse if you miss 3 days of printing, you will use all the ink up in head cleaning just getting it print anything. I have had this printer for 5 months & we have used 8 complete sets of ink cartridges. I am averaging 15 sheets of paper/ 5 days a week.
