The Epson WorkForce 1100 makes a fantastic alternative to more expensive wide-format printers. If you’re running a small business or home office and want to make large photos, posters, or charts for client presentations then the WorkForce 1100 is a great value considering the retail value of $199.99 and a street price as low as $150. The WorkForce 1100 is a decent printer overall really. The colors are nice and bright, blacks are dark as they should be, overall print quality is very good, and the printing speed is fairly fast. If you’re looking for a wide format printer then make sure you check this one out. It’s not perfect though, I had an issue installing the bonus software and there’s no USB cable or any type of network connection. Read more
If you want to be able to tackle any print project from index card to poster and you have the room, this printer will be perfect. When put on a sturdy stand, it can handle any size print with aplomb. Since the printer is very large and must be attached to your computer with a USB cable, you will want to make sure that you have room next to your computer and a sturdy stand before you purchase it. This printer looks good, and for the money, you'd think it would work well also. That is not the case. You will waste your money buying it, more waste when you shell out for the overpriced ink, more waste because this printer sucks the ink back faster than my uncle can pound boilermakers. Still more waste because mine constantly clogs, meaning time spent cleaning the heads, manually, and then they still clog. I would urge anyone considering buying this to NOT. Read more
BIG printer, I did not buy mine from newegg. I picked mine up from Cobra Inks with a constant ink supply system that allows me to print and use bulk pigment ink. This printer, with a CISS is probably the best printer I have EVER had. Mind you I also bought mine on the reccommendation of practically EVERYONE on the forums I frequent for inkjet vinyl printing for contour cut decals and for tshirt transfers on the correct paper. Are the printing heads for the Epson 1100 on the ink cartridges? Has anyone had problems with nozzles clogging? The R1800 was horrible! Wish all the Epsons could work as well as my years-old Epson Stylus 740 which finally died a gracious death.
