Oldie But Goodie....SOMEtimes.
1 May 2014
Summary: This printer is an obsolete model but a favorite of graphic designers from seasons past. It is often referred to as "The Old Grey Mare". Dependable and sturdy, you can still find inks through Epson for it. It used to feature a roll of photo paper with a cutter attachment but it is hard to find the rolls to fit it anymore. If you order this item, you need to know that its age may present printhead problems and cleaning issues.
Summary: I have one of these printers and considering the purchase of another. I am delighted with it. One thing I would like to point out is, there will be less problems with clogging if the printer is completely powered off between uses. This parks the print head. At one point mine was unused for over a year, and I was able to get it printing again perfectly, but it took a number of cleaning cycles.
Summary: This Epson 2200 printer was not working, as listed, when I recived it I found it had ben droped or fell off a desk, I took it apart and repaired it. this printer now works great and it is still one of the best wide format photo printers, It will take a liken and keep on printing.
Summary: This was a good semi-pro printer. It is no longer serviceable by Epson...considered obsolete. Bought this for my client who's R2200 had broken liked it so much they wanted another one. This printer has some unique features that new printers do not have...i.e. refillable ink cartridges, Photo paper roller kit, photo paper cut-off system and a photo paper catch bin.
Excellent printer and cona be gotten cheap for good used examples.

Summary: I love these printers mainly due to the fact that with the right equipment and knowledge, you can easily refill the T034 carts. Another great feature is the automatic roll paper cutter accessory unit! I am on my third stylus 2200 printer which are all happily printing in my current shop.
If it worked I could tell you how it prints but nothing yet

Summary: Bought it as is like all are. Got it and in a week I went to set it up. I get it ready and then I get all red lights even in the paper button. I have no idea how it prints due to it does not work as it is and will cost me at least $100 to get it working.
Expensive to use, but worth it for serious printing

Summary: This printer makes very high quality prints. Yes, it can be finiky and hard to get the colors just the way you want them, but the final results are incredible. I only gave it 4 stars because the ink jets are prone to clogging if not used frequently. Also, this printer eats ink cartidges and they are quite expensive. This is a printer for the professional or serious amateur.
