The Epson Stylus Pro 9890 is a printer that is powered by advanced MicroPiezo TFP print head with ink repelling coating technology and supports 8-channel, drop-on-demand, ink jet print head. It also features Auto head alignment and cleaning technology, Auto sharing black ink channel, professional-level pigment-based ink technology, Printer Nozzle Configuration and has eight Color and Monochrome 360 nozzles. The printer can print down to the smallest droplet size of 3.5 picoliters. It supports up to 2880 x 1440 dpi printing. It has one standard Hi-Speed USB 2.0 (1.1 compatible) and one Ethernet port (10/100Base-T). The Epson Stylus Pro 9890 measures 74“ x 27” x 48“ and weighs 256 lb.

Features

The Epson Stylus Pro 9890 incorporates the company’s photographic ink jet technology and our MicroPiezo® TFP® print head with eight-color Epson UltraChrome K3® and Vivid Magenta. It also features the Thin Film Piezo (TFP) print head design capable of handling eight separate ink channels, one-inch wide high-performance print head with 360 nozzles per channel, auto-sharing black ink channel technology, low vibration meniscus control for highly accurate dot shape and placement, all-new ink-repelling coating to dramatically reduce nozzle clogging and produces variable-sized droplets as small as 3.5 picoliter to decrease print times while optimizing photographic quality. Powered by Epson UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta Ink Technology the printer is designed to work with Epson AccuPhoto HD screening technology and AccuPhoto™ HD Screening. It supports up to 2880 x 1440 dpi printing, reduced photographic graininess due to the printing process, consistent color balance regardless of the viewing light source, and PreciseColor™ for printer-to-printer color consistency. The printer also comes with embedded sensors that verify nozzle status without using media, built-in sensor that ensures alignments of all color channels, and Three-Level Black Ink Technology that simultaneously uses Black, Light Black, and Light Light Black inks.
