Summary: Great Quality Prints. Excellent speed for the print quality. Ink usage is OK, Unit is heavy and needs a substantial support surface. Access to 4 side s is convenient. Somewhat expensive to purchase. Needs t be used regularly.
Summary: What can I say...large prints from the 4900 are just plain incredible. As a landscape photographer, I'm pretty picky with my prints. Colors are spot-on, black-and-whites are crisp, images are very sharp. I use Red River papers almost exclusively, and do not see any issues with this non-Epson paper.
Excerpt: The first printer we received didn't work, called Epson they were so helpful. They shipped a new printer over night, couldn't ask for any better coustomer service. The replacement works fantastic .

Excerpt: Just got this and is not on line yet. I expected to purchase the 3880DE and in shopping came across the 4900 for about the same price at Adorama after the larger rebate. This model is so big that it ships freight. Adorama used (and paid for) Manna to do this who was absolutely wonderful.
Excerpt: The 1st print from this machine was close to perfect. No more wasted paper and ink. Thats a good thing because this beast uses 11 ink carts at around $100 each. You'll get excellent prints from this printer but if you run an uncalibrated system dont blame the printer.
Pros: Durable construction, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Fast Print Time, Low Ink Consumption, Reliable
