Excerpt: Well built and easy to use - at least for me. This is a replacement for an Epson 3880 and what a great upgrade - especially with the roll paper feeder, additional and upgraded ink set - and automatic paper cutter!
Excerpt: They shipped my printer quickly. After looking through it when I got it, everything is how it should be. This printer is huge and you will need two people to move it. You will also need a sturdy table to place it on since it weighs a little over 100 pounds.
Excerpt: My first printer. Truly phenomenal rendition of colors, including color transitions, especially very dark tones are beautiful with a lot of detail still recognizable. This printer is amazing. Not cheap, but money well spent.
Excerpt: I take HDR and panoramic photographs.
This printer's output is exceptional. The colors and detail are vivid. Roll paper cutting is a breeze.Epson's pigment inkset is complimented with quality papers.
Excerpt: Using this in conjuction with CGS Oris RIP tuner to match CADs and fabric swatches.
This printer is amazingly affordable, plus the addition of the two colors and the HDR ink are miles above the Epson 4880 model.
Excerpt: Right out of the shipping box, followed the assembly and connected using USB. I printed a beautiful 8x10. Very nice ++. So...let's do something hard. I used 7 year old roll paper, 13 inches to print a 13 by 20 and it too was perfect +++. I am letting the printer manage it colors and its doing fine.
Excerpt: I too had an issue with clogging. I completely lost the use of my yellow ink (3/25/13). After searching the internet for solutions the first, and easiest, to try was increasing the humidity in the room my 4900 is in.
Excerpt: So far I have had no issues with this printer! Just be aware (and this is a common mistake) DO NOT keep a roll of paper on the roller in the printer when it is not in use! It can put extra stress on the gears. The color is gorgeous for photos color and black and white.
