Summary: Here is a tip; I purchased a new printer from Epson. Epson's policy is if anything is wrong with the printer they will send you a refurbished printer in exchange. You are taking a chance that the new printer works, mine did not, and if it doesn't they charge a deposit on your credit card and send you a refurbished printer. In my case one that had left over food in the tray. Why buy new?
Summary: I'm on my THIRD copy of this printer. I have wasted countless hours and hundreds of dollars of ink cleaning the constantly clogged print heads. Before you even consider buying this printer do yourself a favor and google Epson 4900 print head clog. Then read some of the thousands of results. On the other hand, when it works it is very beautiful, and lately it has actually been working.
Summary: Big, heavy and expensive to run. You need to use this machine at the very least every week for a good number of sheets otherwise the ink dries and it takes a long time to clean, set and warm up. Definitely not worth the money as it falls between medium size printer and large format size. If I was going to buy one I would choose one that can print on wider paper as the available range is much better.
