Summary: I use this printer to make prints of my artwork and occasionally to print photographs. This printer worked ok in the beginning, but has the rear feeder has always been touchy. For several months now, the rear feeder will sometimes load the paper when it feels like it. But now it won't load at all. Of course, the printer is out of warranty at this point because I've had it for 2 years, so now I will have to pay someone to service it.
Summary: The 3880 prints beautiful colors. It is ideal for paper media. That being said, I have spent a frustrating 12 hour day doing all I can think of to get a canvas print without success. My primary intention in buying this printer was to be able to print on canvas. The manual lists all of the media to be used with this machine which does not include canvas, however the manual is not available until the purchase is concluded.
Summary: I have been using a 2200 for about five yrs loved it, moved up to 3880 for larger prints better color etc. Not happy at all, Im looking to return it. Very hard to set up color not anywhere close to 2200 print colors. Book that comes with it very little help in solving the problems. Im very upset that this printer does not live up to other reviews or epsons ads. Don't waste your money. The 2200 was great right out of the box, not the 3880.
Summary: It worked well at first but now it won't feed paper properly and keeps defaulting to photo black when I have only ever used it for matte. It is trying my patience to extreems, the print quality is superb when it goes but I am wasting a lot of ink.
