Summary: I've just been waiting for my Epson 2400 to give out on me so I could get the Pro 3800. I am not one bit disappointed in it's performance and now I can print on a much greater selection of professional paper and make larger sized prints.
Summary: What a great investment! I am a designer, and this printer gives me great control over how I print my materials, what I am printing on, including the quality, weight, and size of the paper. I am 100% happy with this purchase!
Summary: I've been using this printer for over a year now. After getting my paper and profile choices dialed in (Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk with profile provided on Ilford's web site) the 3800 has been making consistently outstanding prints.
Summary: I have used this printer for about 3 weeks. It is awesome, I love it. I am a photographer with experience doing B&W and color developing. This printer is a major advance. The large format creates such impact and the quality is so good that, for the first time, I am hearing comments like, "You can...
Summary: This printer met and exceeded my expectations. I had read several reviews from others but was surprised to see how easy it was to use such a powerful tool. If you have properly calibrated your monitor and this printer your will produce a exceptional quality prints.
Summary: This has been the most reliable clearest printer I have ever owned. It is large, but it does handle 16x20 prints wonderfully. I really like the large ink cartridges, they last well. I have never had any fade out at the end of a cartridges the way I had with other printers.
Summary: The 3800 was my first printer. Made first rate prints right out of the box with Photoshop C3. You need to play with the platen gap to prevent banding on some of the papers, i.e., premium glossy - use "wider". Front door over output tray is the cheapest thing I've ever seen on an object over $100.
Summary: I am a professional photographer and decided that I was tired of the horizontal banding on my 7600 whenever I did not use it for a few days always necessitating a head cleaning or two. After 6 years and 11,000+ prints I'm really not complaining about the 7600 but it was time to make a decision.
