Bright Hub
2 January 2008
  • Excerpt: The Epson Stylus Pro 3800 is at the low end of Epson's Stylus Pro product line, but still can handle 17 inch wide paper and media. We look at it to see how it stacks up as a photo printer- and how it compares to higher end printers in the same product...

  • Summary: If you are a professional photographer or serious amateur looking to reproduce your work at large sizes and with extremely high quality, the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Standard Model is a great printer. You get speed, quality, and efficiency at a good price, even when you factor in the swapping of the matte and photo black inks.
  • Pros: Excellent quality prints, outstanding speed on almost any media type
  • Cons: The need to swap cartridges when you switch between matte and photo black inks wastes at least 2ml of ink in the process due to ink "flushing"

Epson Stylus Pro 3800

ePHOTOzine
5 July 2007
  • Summary: The print quality is very good as would be expected from a printer of this class and it also has a high build quality. The prints are well balanced and have a nice saturation of colour. Lightfastness is 75 years for colour prints and over 100 years for black and white as long as the images are not subjected to sunlight.
  • Pros: Large capacity ink tanks, Thicker paper capacity, Automatic ink switching for best results
  • Cons: Weight issues, Overly sensitive sensors, Doors won't close unless done precisely

Epson Stylus Pro 3800

PhotographyBLOG
25 June 2007
  • Excerpt: There's a huge jump, both in size and price, from 13" wide printers to large format printers that can handle 17" or wider media. The new Epson Stylus Pro 3800 is an interesting addition to the Epson line-up that straddles the size and cost lines. Rather than replacing the existing Stylus Pro 4800, the Epson 3800 is designed to be a cost effective option for those that don't need the volume printing or roll feed options that the 4800 model provides.

Epson Stylus Pro 3800 review

expertreviews.co.uk
29 March 2007
  • Excerpt: Epson's new Stylus Pro 3800 stands out from the crowd as a temptingly sized, desktop A2+ photo-printer for enthusiasts and imaging professionals. Sitting directly beneath the larger and pricier A2+ Stylus Pro 4800, the Pro 3800 is the company's entry-level, wide-format printer based on the maker's nine-colour UltraChrome K3 pigment-based ink set.

  • Summary: An affordable high-performance, large format inkjet printer for serious enthusiasts and professional photographers.Designed to fill the gap between the high-end enthusiast and professional printer categories, Epson's new Stylus Pro 3800 has the same print engine and ink set as Epson's professional Stylus Pro 4800 and, like its more expensive 'sister' can print up to A2 size.

Kipróbáltuk: Epson Stylus Pro 3800

Pixinfo
24 August 2007
  • Summary: A fotónyomtatókat bemutató sorozatunk utolsó darabjaként a legnagyobb, A2-nél nagyobb méretben is nyomtatni képes Epson Stylus Pro 3800 tintasugarasát vizsgáltuk. A közel fél millió Ft-ért árult termék - ahogy a Canon A3-asa - nem az extra szolgáltatásaival fog hódítani, mint inkább a nagy nyomtatási mérete és minősége miatt. A nyomtatások alkalmával a szokásos Epson minőséget tapasztaltuk, emellett azonban most sem maradt meglepetés nélkül tesztünk.

Inkjet - Epson Stylus Pro 3800

Pixelmania
20 August 2007
