satisfied with the product but not with Epson Serviuce

Summary: I have always loved these printers and have owned all from R300 to R340. Epson service perhaps is not the best ... but then, I believe that if the customer has a question, it must be answered irrespective when the product is bought or where it is bought from. Simple questions should be answered right away instead of routing people to different places. The last R340 I bought.. is practically a new printer, yet the LCD monitor does not light up.
Summary: This is the second R340 I've purchased. I bought my first one years ago to replace an R300, and the R340 has been a real champ. Because I go through a lot of ink printing CDs, I did put a continuous ink system on the printer, as well as an ink recovery bottle on the back. These two options/modifications to the printer not only make it cheap to operate, but extend the life (as I think I got two or three ink pad resets out of my previous R340, before the black on the print...
Summary: Works excellent. I have had mine for over 2 years now. I rated this printer only 4 stars because after almost exactly 1 year of service, right after the warranty expired, I was having a problem with paper jaming and the CD/DVD tray not loading properly. The printer kept ejecting the tray. I was lucky, I read a review on the internet with a similar problem and the fix was real easy. All you need is a can of WD-40 with the long red spray nozzle.
Summary: Well, I go this printer because I do event videography and I needed a printer to print directly to DVDs and also print the DVD labels. I used to use my past roommate's printer, and it worked perfectly fine, besides the occasional DVD tray jams. So I went and bought my own printer. I took it out the box and followed the prep instructions, but since I have a mac, it took me longer than expected for the computer to recognize the printer.
Summary: I, bought this to do small runs of cds. I have a small recording company and i wanted to be able to put out specific small numbers of several types of cd prints at one time with out having to order a large number from a professional print place. So far the machine does a great job of this. It does NOT kick out the cd as i had heard before it prints.....its not really easy to do takes constant changing of cd etc....
Summary: My husband and I really enjoy having the ability to print pictures on demand. The only issue I have with this printer is that it is bulky. It takes some time to get tused to all the settings in order to improve quality. The manual doesn't explain this all that well either.
Summary: I print a lot of printable cd's & dvd's & I had an earlier model (R300)that was getting pretty weak (I'd printed about 2,000 disks with it) & thought that this unit should be better. It is better in most respects except retreiving the finished product is a little more inconvenient. Works good & prints good.
