Summary: If one cartridge gets empty it WILL NOT print! And it's ALWAYS OUT!!! There is no workaround! Can't print black if any color is out! Does not like other brand ink, so you'll be stuck paying through the nose for it...and it uses a LOT of ink. I've had it! This thing has been a thorn in my side for 3 years, it's going to the dump!
Summary: I took a gamble that the printer would work. I have had eight Epson printers and five of them worked very well. The other three including this one shared the same major mechanical problem...the mechanism that feeds the paper did not work and tha cost of repair was in excess of the cost of a new printer. As I said...I gambled and lost...my bad!
Summary: I bought this so I could print on dvd's. I can't believe how cheep this is designed. The manual disc feed tray worked twice and now it will not feed! Constant errors. I have never been so frustrated with a piece of equipment! I can't believe Epson has gone down hill so much. Anyone know if HP is going to make a disk printer?
Summary: I had two R300's and now this R340. All of them are great photo printers but none would print more than 2 or 3 cd's before crapping out. The feed tray will not align or the machine can't tell it is aligned and you get an endless error message that the cd tray is not loaded properly. While I am at it I want to vent about the way Epson support deals with this problem.
Summary: Paper Jam Paper Jam Paper Jam. If you by this printer to print to DVD or CD you"ll see "Error..Paper Jam " in your nightmares. It might take 2-3 minutes to print a DVD but plan on another 5-10 fighting with this piece of @#$% printer each time. I bought two of these printers so this is no fluke. Here's the full story. Once a year I make from 500-1000 DVDs in the late sping / early summer.
Summary: I recieved this from my wife for christmas, and three weeks later I have still been unable to even use it. I followed all of the instructions to load the driver and the mac doesn't even recognize it. i went to epson web site and downloaded a "revised" download driver (after deleting the one that came with the printer) but the mac doesn't even recognize it in it's printer utility.
Summary: Had a USB cable been included with the printer, I might have given this printer a higher rating. As it is, I can't plug it in and test it. This is the first indication tome that EPSON are going to be a bunch of jerks.
