After 2 months, I have to agree with the naysayers

PowerUser, Amazon

  • Summary: At first this bugger printed great. I was happy. I bought six new cartridges for it around May 5th, 2007. I printed 6 CD/DVD's and maybe 10-15 pages (usually on economy or draft settings to save ink) and then it sat from about May 10th until about June 12th.

Quality Printer - Good Prints, Fast, Not as Pricy As Expected

G. Ma, Amazon
10 June 2006
  • Summary: I've owned epsons before and they all used ink fast and it was expensive. The overall experience i have with epsons has been fantastic though so I am willing to pay extra. This printer has been great so far. The photos are excellent and the disk printing is neat but i've really only played with it.

Excellent Printer

Anonymous, Newegg
17 March 2006
  • Summary: I bought this printer to use mainly for printing on CDs and DVDs. This is one of the few choices but I am very happy with it. When used with Verbatim White Injet Printable DVDs the results are outstanding. However, when used with Verbatim Silver Inkjet Printable CDs the results are mediocre.
  • Pros: Print quality is excellent. Has a wide variety of features. Prints on CD/DVDs. Price with current $50 rebate is a steal.
  • Cons: None

Printing DVDs requires fresh trays

Robert Cole, Amazon
7 March 2006
  • Summary: I have the same problems with the Epson R300 that some of you are reporting with the R320 -- in fact that's why I'm reading the reviews, to see whether the DVD printing has improved. Apparently not. But the theory I'm developing is that the CD/DVD tray itself wears out.

Epson R320 Stylus Photo

Brian W., Newegg
6 March 2006
  • Pros: I give it 4 eggs because the printer wouldn't recognize the ink cartridges 1, 2, or 3rd tries. Had to mess with it for over an hour. After that it prints fast, smooth, and quiet.
  • Cons: glitchy recognizing it's own print cartridges. have to hold the power button down a bit for it to power on ( picky )

Excellent Printer

Noel B., Newegg
25 February 2006
  • Summary: It's not a big deal to me, but some might drop it a star for it's slower print speed using the high quality photo settings. But for this level of detail, color richness and clarity, I certainly don't mind.
  • Pros: Superb quality prints. Simple as that. The multi-card reader is a very cool addition. The printer worked perfectly with my IOGear bluetooth printer connection (also from Newegg). Printing on discs is great, too. But the sheer quality of the print output on Epson glossy paper (don't use HP glossy ...
  • Cons: I'm not a big fan of the printer driver status window that pops up with every print, but I'll likely get used to it. It has a progress bar telling you how far along each print job is. Not really a big con, and not enough to drop my rating of the machine.
