Summary: I read all the reviews and talked with some professional photographers and decided to buy this model. I have been very disappointed. No where did it mention that this printer is extremely slow to print.
Summary: This was a spectacular printer when it was working. But the black ink nozzles clogged frequently and eventually deposited black blobs of ink on the edges of the paper. Because I liked the quality of the prints, I took the printer to an authorized repair shop, where they replaced the print head, at...
Summary: You probably do not want a review from me until I can get a decent print out of this machine. Too bad it just doesn't print well right from the start. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt because I'm hoping it is so vastly capable that I just haven't chosen the right options yet.
Summary: I've had this printer for 8 months. Mostly satisfied with the print quality as is often stated in other on line reviews. I don't print with it very much so the initial ink has last until now. I bought the ink ahead of time so that when I did run out I wouldn't have to wait and stop printing.
Summary: Great prints until you start getting black ink marks ruining your prints after 2 years of light duty use and perhaps 200 prints. This heavy robust printer seemed built for years of heavy duty use. I have tried cleaning, changing carts etc. More testing is need.
Cheaply made, expensive ink refills, short service life, expensive repairs. Wonderful prints though.

Summary: Short and Sweet: 1) Prints beautifully 2) Cheaply made plastic printer 3) Printer purposely wastes ink 4) Check the price on Epson ink cartridges first...you'll be shocked at the cost 5) Refillable ink cartridges are available, but with mixed results (Not recommended) 6) Must print fairly frequently...
Summary: I bought the R3000 22 months ago. The print quality is fantastic - but I've printed only 15 of the 20 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11" paper that came in a bundle with the printer and I'm out of one ink and low on most others.
This printer is little more than a moneymaking machine for Epson.

Summary: Over the years I have owned this printer I have slowly grown to hate it. At first it was great and did a fantastic job. I liked that it took different kinds paper/media including very thick sheets. However, the ink it uses is fantastically expensive. It seems to use up ink at a rate of knots.
Summary: I had my R3000 for around 3 years. All features worked very well. Excellent quality prints. Quiet. Perfect in every way. Why only 2 stars? Recently the printer started to drip black ink blobs that would smear across the paper - literally thick wet blobs of ink.
Summary: This is my sixth Epson ink jet printer. The quality of printing from photographs with this printer is by far the best I have had. However, there are serious problems with it. After using it for a little over a month the printer has failed to recognise three (different) colour inks, and my printer...
