Summary: This is my third R3000 in the last two years. The first two died on me! Epson replaced the first one, under warranty, with a rebuilt R3000, but did not do so when the rebuilt one died, because the warranty on the first printer had expired.
Summary: My Epson Stylus Photo 2200 that I have had for over ten years, just bit the dust. I really hated to see it go and was leary that the next wide format printer might not be as good. Well, let me tell you, I just installed my Epson Stylus Photo R3000 today and have only printed a few photos....... WOW doesn't even cover it. What beautiful picture quality. I am very impressed. I can't wait to print more. It is a wonderful printer, easy to set up and get it up and running.
Summary: I have been a user of Epson printers since 1982. My FX-286 printer still works! This R3000 printer was purchased to replace an R1800 used for engineering design prints on 11"x17" paper. The R1800 developed the well documented power switch failure but after the new R3000 was ordered, I was able to bypass the bad switch and just left the old printer on and working.
Summary: I have been using the Epson R3000 now for about 4 months. It is performing flawlessly. I did a lot of research on fine art printers and printing before I purchased this machine, and I can tell you that I'm glad I did.
