Printer is Great for DVD's

Bradley A., Newegg
28 October 2007
  • Pros: This printer works great. I’ve only printed three or four white pages with black text, but I’ve printed about 100 DVDs. The DVDs look fantastic, great color and detail, smooth to the touch not scratchy like adhesive labels. The bundled software works fine, I’ve only used pictures other people mad...
  • Cons: The ink is expensive, but it does let you change one color at a time so you don’t waste any. Sometimes the manual isn’t really clear on what the diagnostic lights mean. If you have the printer tray set for DVDs and you turn the power off, it won’t turn back on until you flip the tray switch.

incredible prints on CD/DVD, low cost

Crash, Amazon
12 October 2007
  • Summary: First, about me - I am an HP printer bigot, and a PC user. I bought this printer to print labels on CDs, and installed it on a MAC (which I can barely operate), so I'm really in unfamiliar territory. That being said, the printer and software installed with no problems.

I am super happy with the Epson R260 photo printer!

D. Brinkley, Amazon
12 October 2007
  • Summary: I have been using Epson printers for years now, and I find that the Epson R260 is my favorite. It never has conflicts with my old XP or new Vista computers. I buy GENERIC ink and it accepts all inks with no conflicts. This is so important to me! The older Espon printers did not like generic ink.

True-Color Photographs!

Surf Accountant, Amazon
10 October 2007
  • Summary: As I write this (Aug 07) Epson has announced four new inexpensive all-in-one printers, one priced even lower than the R260. The R260 is now the R280 on their website. Epson is selling the older R260 on their website for $30 off, as is Staples, (but you need to mail-in a Staples rebate.

Awesome PHOTO printer

Brett S., Newegg
10 October 2007
  • Summary: Yes it uses ink. I'm sorry for all of the people that want inkjet photos at laser toner prices..... it's not going to happen, with any inkjet photo printer. It does use more ink than the previous generation Epsons, but the trade-off is quality.
  • Pros: Fabulous prints with colors that really POP! Longevity, colorfastness, scratch resitance on certain Epson papers. You will get better results than most any lab.
  • Cons: Like with any consumer, photo printer, ink costs can be high. The bundled ink cartridges are not full. You will get more prints per cartridge on subsequent sets.

  • Summary: I purchased this printer for it's CD/DVD printing capabilities. It has worked extremely well and makes great, high quality graphics/images. Although I have not used it very much for photo printing it has performed well on what I have done.

Great for printing CD printable label

JA Penny, Amazon
24 September 2007
  • Summary: I read several reviews of this printer before I purchased and was almost afraid to buy it. However, I'm VERY satisfied with the printer. It is large and does use six different colors of ink, but provides easy and beautiful labels for my CDs and DVDs.
