Summary: When my Epson R220 printer died, I needed to replace it or get a different printer that could print labels on printable CD's and DVD's. Since I had the R220 installed on four computers and had purchased several ink cartridges, it was cost-effective to replace the printer with another of the same...
Summary: I feel that this is one of the best printers around for the price. i bought mine almost a year ago. i have used the staples brand paper and i see almost no difference from epson brand. photos look great, i have been using third party ink from e bay. but i will probably get som epson ink soon.
Pros: Direct CD/DVD printing. great picture quality.
Cons: Expensive ink, epson wanting you to buy their brand paper.
Summary: I have had no problems with this printer. I purchased the refillable cartridges from alotofthings.com and am able to refill the cartridges with ease. I have purchased a second one to set up at my office where we use a tremendous amount of ink with a Continuous Ink System.
Summary: I have this at home and am thinking about picking up another for my classroom. I really like ours, and am willing to buy my own to use at school.
Pros: Very nice resolution. CD printing capabilities is what I was most needing and it does a great job. The results are quite professional looking. I've used them to create photo albums or powerpoint gifts, and for coursework submissions on CD. Nice color, nice options in the photo editing software. U...
Cons: CD's do take a while to print. Don't think you are going to make 500 copies to sell! When printing to CD's make sure to line up the little arrows on the side of the printer tray with those on the CD tray adaptor. You need to push in just a bit to get it to catch and line up so that the CD will pr...
Pros: Medium Range prine for a prett low price. Like with all thing it is best if you tweak it. Epsons included software makes it easy to do so.
Cons: When printing just black it can include color ink anyway. Make sure you check black only in printer optoions to save a ton of money. No usb Cable was included which is listed on the box but still is a pain
Summary: I'm looking for some Ink refill kit, despite the Warning on the box that says to only use their Genuine Inks. What a joke, people save a boat load refilling their inks, so whatever to that!
Pros: It prints on your print-on CD/DVDs. The resolution of this printer means your going to get a fantastic picture, in which I did. I didn't have any technical problems with the printer except when I first installed it.
Cons: With the CD/DVD priter part, I sort of have to gently push the tray in manually otherwise it won't go in at all. Other than that it's a great printer.
Summary: I have been using this printer for DVD covers now for 2 months and can advise every one looking to replace the paper covers with ink to get this printer without any worry. I have done a minimum of 150 covers with one set of ink..the yellow and the black will let go first.
Summary: I didn't have huge expectations from a printer that costs under $100, but what attracted me to the Epson R220 is the ability to print on DVDs and CDs. I had just bought a new DVD recorder to finally copy my old library of VHS tapes (which I throw away as soon as I make a copy).
