Summary: I use it mostly for printing CDs and DVD. I make music CDs and picture albums, etc. I buy the blank, white hub- printable CDs and DVD (meaning there is only a small circle in the middle (20 mm diameter) that doesn't get printed.
Summary: When my Epson R220 printer died, I needed to replace it or get a different printer that could print labels on printable CD's and DVD's. Since I had the R220 installed on four computers and had purchased several ink cartridges, it was cost-effective to replace the printer with another of the same type. I found a reconditioned printer identical to what I needed for sale on Amazon for much less that a new one would have cost.
Summary: I Ordered this to protect our new investment and i'll have to say it works very well and it arrived way ahead of time since it was other side of country.. 4 or 5 days and packaging way not crushed or damaged.. thanks alot and set up was easy i did it all by myself on a day that had no wind.. great sale and product as well as service would of gave 10 stars but only have 5 lol ..thanks again....
Summary: i bought the epson R220 to replace one I've had for years. Pro: It's the best small workhorse desktop for all needs. Con: The Epson inks are expensive. I've had many Epson printers, including the 7800. Whenever I've used 3rd party inks, they clog or create other problems, so I bite the bullet and use Epson inks.
Summary: Reliable workhorse. Comes with good labeling software that gives you good options to create the label the way you want to. Individual ink cartridges can be replaced, but printer does not run if one cartridge runs out.
Summary: I use this brand R220 Stylus Epson printer, I think its the best, and uses the CIS, so saves me money. I have used several models and brands of printers, and I feel epson is better. The ink last longer and I am able to use the CSI system on it. So it saves me lots of money.
Summary: The main reason this discontinued printer is selling at such premium prices is because the cost of aftermarket ink cartridges is the lowest I know of. You can purchase them right here on eBay for less than two dollars ($2) each! As long as you buy the ink from a seller with a high positive feedback score who uses USA ink, they seem to work just as good as the factory inks. Additionally, you can print directly on CDs and DVDs.
Summary: If your looking for a price smart printer that does a great job printing Cd-DVD's as well as photos etc, then this one would be the one to take a closer look at. So far, this unit has done an outstanding job printing both on paper and loads of DVD's with no trouble at all. Printing color graphics on DVD’s is vivid with no bleeding and smudge free. A two thumbs up for this printer unit.
