Expensive to Buy and Feed; Unspectacular Performance
20 March 2010
Summary: This was far from a cheap printer when I bought it a couple years ago. It was like $250. The six ink cartridges are supposed to give better color rendition - to me, all they provide is a better bottom line for Epson. The printer goes through cartridges extremely quickly.
Summary: I purchased this printer for a few reasons. I loved the idea of only replacing the ink that is needed. I loved the cost of the printer and the cost of the ink. It prints directly on CDs. Now, I'm going to tell you why these are NOT good traits.
Summary: You get what you pay for! 200 means the amounts of Disks it will print before failure, the Plastic Disk shelve that you need to feed into the printer is not well designed. The flexible plastic wings bend and wear I'm at my wits end and am looking for another method to print my disks Stay away fro...
Summary: Regular run of the mill printing is ok Photo printing is awful. Colors mush, Prints too red. Hard to set up with Photoshop calibrated screen. Too many 'settings' in their preferences. Do not buy this. The first Epson 880 we had was marvelous.
