Summary: I have had this printer for 2-3 years and I am greatly disappointed in it. It prints beautifully.....if you like black blobs of ink showing up randomly on the print. I have searched the internet and this seems to be quite a common problem. I have tried all the suggestions other than sending it in for repair, but none of the suggestion are successful for very long. This issue started early on & is intermittent, but I have grown very weary of it.
Summary: I bought this printer because I liked the last version of it so much. This one, however, is not even close to the last one in quality. It is extremely slow, I can't get the colours properly adjusted no matter what I do, and it is always out of ink. i've tried changing the paper, changing the instructions and so on, but nothing seems to work. The Wi-fi connection is also unreliable, although that may not be entirely the fault of the printer.
Summary: I bought this printer to replace a canon i9900 wide format printer. I can't wait to switch back. This printer is garbage. The ink nozzles clog, and to unclog them wastes about $50 worth of ink. I've spent hours on the phone with their tech support, and they ultimately ship me one new ink cartridge to compensate me for my wasted time. My photo black ink nozzle is now trash, won't unclog, leaks all over the paper. Inks cost a fortune.
Summary: I bought this printer in 2013 for making art prints of my watercolor paintings to sell on Etsy. I use Epson Cold Press Bright paper. It's gorgeous paper and makes the print look similar to the original painting. It's also very expensive. I have used it to print photographs as well, using Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. The photos turn out gorgeous as well. Professional Quality. This printer prints beautifully. I am very happy with it ---> when it works.
Summary: I owned a Epson R1800 and had good luck with it until it began the 2 flashing red LEDs on the buttons. A Google search of the problem I found out the only fix was to trash the 1800 and buy a new R2000. Which I did. Upon receiving the new one, I installed it per the fast setup instructions. During the installation, it crashed stating it was unable to uninstall the R1800 and would not allow the Easy Photo Print to install.
Summary: The wireless setup is a pain in the ass. The direct wireless setup does not work unlike all the other wireless printers we have on the network. A USB cable which is not included is required to then setup the wireless connection. Years ago I vowed never to buy Epsom products because of the setup problems. My wife wanted this particular print; I'd hoped that Epsom had changed. They haven't.
Summary: this is one of the worst decision I have made , very expensive told one thing get it home does not do the one thing I bought it for, very poor setup instructions on line does not answer questions.
Excerpt: 1. does not print, 2. feeds multiple blank pages between printed pages. 3. will print 2 to 3 pages then put out up to 15 blank pages. 4. does not pull paper 5. pulls paper 1/4 way then stops The most frustrating printer we have ever owned. You must hit the paper feed button after each blank page to continue with printing. 1 star only because when it finally prints it is beautiful.
Excerpt: I had bought this printer because of the alleged versatility and was disappointed. I consider it a lemon. If I print anything other than 24 lb bond paper, the paper feeder balks every 2-3 sheets and spits out a blank. I wanted the printer primarily to print small batches of post cards. Followed the directions found on the Epson creative website to the letter. The printer does not cooperate and the Epson tech support has no knowledge of their own website suggestions.
Cons: Excessive Self-diagnosis, Paper Feeder Is Skittish, Too much ink used, Unreliable
