"Worked very well for about a year, then crashed."

Goodema, CNET
10 November 2010
  • Pros: Color saturation was usually good. Occasionally had to adjust color on computer and reprint. Speed of printing is very reasonable considering the quality of output.
  • Cons: Large footprint of the printer. I knew before buying the unit, but it got to be annoying. Major issues with printer heads after only one year. I would clean the heads and have 5 great pictures, then have to reclean.

Excellent quality prints, but an ink guzzler / waster

Leigh A. Wax "Leigh-a", Amazon
23 December 2009
  • Summary: I've gotten consistently excellent print quality with this printer, but the ink costs are exorbitant; $0.019 per SQ" / $1.50 for an 8X10, at current Epson prices. Epson has built-in methods of wasting ink, such as when replacing one ink cartridge, the printer charges all the cartridges, unnecessary waste considering that each cartridge has a chip that could be configured to charge only the one that's been replaced.

Great Printer - When It's Working And Once You Learn How To Use It

Mrs. Langers, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: I bought this printer in March of 2008 so the one I have is about 6 months old now. I use it primarily to create art prints on photo rag paper. I have been very impressed with the print quality and once I figured out how to work with ICC profiles, impressed with the colors I was getting from it as well. I was looking forward to testing it out with different types of paper. However, it recently started showing banding throughout my prints.
