  • Excerpt: The printer itself looks similar to the first Epson Stylus Photo printers, but bulkier and has rounded corners. The design is very good, It does however have quite a large footprint compared to some other printers in its class. The printheads are not replaceable (unless you take it to a 'service centre') and so basically if these get clogged you either have to pay someone to replace or buy a new printer...

Photo 890

  • Excerpt: This printer was the model released to try and compete with the Canon S800. It does that and more... ~QUICK OUTLINE~ The photo 890 is designed for printing excellent quality photos up to an A4 size. It uses Micro Piezo ink jet with 48 nozzles for monochrome printing and 240 nozzles for colour printing. If that was as much use as blah blah blah to you then in simple terms it does some very fine detailed pictures up to a resolution of 2880x720.
  • Pros: picture wuality when used with photo paper
  • Cons: text print quality isn't up to scratch

Epson Stylus Photo 890

  • Excerpt: This printer is by far the best I have ever owned, I do a lot of digital imaging and this printer is always surprising me. I find myself looking at my screen and thinking that the image will be destroyed by my printer, but it isn’t. The colour depth and ‘realness’ of the pictures are probably the best you can get with an inkjet (providing good quality paper is used).
  • Pros: picture quality, speed and price
  • Cons: Uses ink very quickly, only A4 .

Epson Have It Spot On For Once

  • Excerpt: I bought this printer to go with with my Fuji 4800. I needed a printer that would be able to match the amazing quality of this camera, and it looks like ive found one with the Epson Photo 890. Features Unlike "normal" inkjet printers , this photo printer uses a 5 colour cartridge and a black one, whereas most printers use a 3 colour cartridge and a black one.
  • Pros: Running cost, Print Quality
  • Cons: Built in print head

  • Excerpt: Construction. This printer has rather modest dimensions. The body is executed from light plastics, only bottom is painted in darker color. The giving tray equipped with the moved terminator of a breadth of sheets is located in a back part of body under angle approximately 45 degrees. The receiving tray in work position is throwed off forwards and is decomposed.

  • Excerpt: Invest in a worthwhile printer?... Never! Until now, and even that didn't break the bank. I've finally upgraded my PC, and while my wife wasn't looking, I included a spanky new printer on the order :-) --- Features --- Okay, start with the basics. This is a colour printer, photo-quality, and handles A4 paper at a speed of about 10 pages per minute.
  • Pros: Quiet, excellent quality
  • Cons: Drinks ink
