Question: Printing problem

When I print 8.5 X 11 or larger prints, I am getting a message that "This document failed to print" and only 25% to 50% of the print is actually printed. I cannot figure out what is happening. I have talked to Epson but they say the printer is OK and it is a problem with transmitting information between my computer and the printer. I have changed connector cords but still cannot get a complete print from bigger photos. This just happened recently. Any ideas?

I am having a similar problem, but no error message, and it also just happened recently: in occasional documents in both Excel and Acrobat Pro, the preview shows the image correct size on the page, yet it prints the page at about 50% in the corner. It's infuriating. i just spent hours on the phone with Epson, updated the driver, and MS Office, and ran Disk Warrior in the hopes that it would magically fix it. the tech support guy told me it couldn't be the driver, since we did a clean install, so it either has to be the printer itself or my computer (I have a MacPro.) he suggested trying installing the driver on a different printer, and if i can recreate the problem, it means it IS the printer, and i can exchange it for a new printer. But if they don't know what's wrong, and there are others out there with similar problems, the new printer might have the same issue! I did find a workaround: in Excel if you click on preview and print from the preview window it prints the correct size. For the Acrobat issue, i opened the pdf in Illustrator and printed it correctly from there. but as a professional designer, this is not acceptable. i need answers! Cindy

Try to send the printer back to the store you bought it and exchange with another one, if there's still warranty on it. If not, avoid from printing large photos.
