Summary: I've had this printer for 2 years. I don't do a lot of printing - just 2-3 pages per month - but it's been a constant battle with this Epson. Heads are clogged more than 90% of the time. When it does work, I'm lucky if I can print just a few pages before I'm "out" of ink. In 2 years, I've printed a total of maybe 50 pages, yet I've had to replace the hi-capacity black ink twice and each of the colors twice. I figure I've paid about $8 per page. What a money pit.
Summary: I've had this since May, 2004 (8 years!) and refuse to part with it. It's still going. I wish it were wireless, but when I got it that was not a priority. Scans are great (they line up perfectly-no adjusting needed) and printing (even photos on plain white paper) is also great. 3 paper jams in that time. Ink couldn't be easier to replace & it works fine with refurbished cartridges. It's outlasted the software programs I had for photos, labels, business & Christmas cards.
Good printer lasted 6 years; died by clogged printhead

Summary: The CX6600 endured light home use for 6 years. Then it started printing streaks. Replaced ink cartridges with no effect. Even bought some of that print-head cleaning solution to try and unclog the print head, which only partially fixed the problem. Looked online for a replacement for the printhead, and saw prices ~$150, which is the price I paid for a brand new Canon all-in-one. The Epson was a good printer for 6 years, so I can't complain too much.
Beware! Poor quality & holds all functions hostage to buying ink.

Summary: Poor image quality that diminishes quickly over time and clogs. I had this printer for 4 years and regretted it. The worst problem--and it's a big one--is that although it is a multifunction device, it DISABLES all functions (including the option of printing/copying using black ink only) if ANY of the ink cartridges is empty!
Summary: I've had my printer for over 5 years, it's very dependable and it works great. I've never had to call tech support and haven't had any issue's to speak of. A couple of things I don't like is that it can't scan any documents larger than letter size and I can't scan multiple documents as one file ( if so, i haven't figured out how). The cost of off brand ink is amazingly low (6.99). I hate to replace this printer but my needs have changed.
Summary: I was very surprised to see how low the user ratings are on Amazon. This is not by any means a perfect printer, but it works. It wastes ink and is prone to clogging. To clear a clog, the printer flushes the print heads with ink. Since I left college, I use it much less and I have wasted half my current ink tanks just cleaning it.
Summary: The unit gave a JAMMED PAPER message. Would not clear, no down load fixes available. Expensive piece of c**p. Can not say as I would rush out to buy another Epson product. Dell makes one that works real good. 926 All-in-one. That is what I have now. Pretty happy with it so far.
Summary: I've had this printer for about five years and never had any problems with it, but recently the black ink is coming out all blurry. Putting in a new cartridge does not fix the problem, so I guess I must have the dreaded clogged printhead issue that seems to be the source of much angst in these reviews. I'm going to try one of those clog buster products, but I'm not feeling real optimistic right now. I'll probably have to get a new printer from the sound of it.
Summary: Inks dry up every few months. Scanner won't work if any one if the inks is low even though this feature has nothing to do with printing. I called customer service, they confirmed this, apologized and said nothing could be done. I would not recommend purchasing any Epson scanners/printer unless you want to be stuck buying new ink every few months.
Summary: I bought this same type of printer 5 years ago with my iMac and it worked flawlessly for all that time. Until it finally broke and was too expensive to fix, I never had 1 problem with it, not even a paper jam!
