Summary: Had an Epson Stylus Color 800 for over 10 years, which I used for a business, and it finally wore out without a days worth of problems. I am still running Windows 98 so going to the retail stores for a new printer was not an option. This Epson Stylus 760 was like new and is printing sharp, clear documents & photos. It's so easy to use and is smaller and quieter than my 800. This model is running beautifully on generic ink where my 800 was a bit fussy.
Summary: I like the the Epson and Canon printers, but I have been extremely disappointed that the last few printers that I have been purchasing from Ebay has been junk and has been a waste and lost of money. I have two printer that i got from ebay that does not work. people are selling junk on ebay and gettin away with it.
Summary: I just have to say that I have had my Epson Stylus 760 color printer for over 8 years now and it is still performing well. I have had no major problems with it - all I've had to do is change the ink cartridges. I received this printer new as a present - it is probably not available new anymore, but if you find a used one cheap I would recommend that you pick it up.
Excerpt: I've had mine for over 7 years now (I swapped it for a 6GB hard drive) and it's still working as good as new. :) I don't use it for photos, but it's fine for letters and documents with small pictures.
Excerpt: Simply brilliant printer, quite unlike the nasty sounding plastic boxes currently produced by Epson. I've tried an 830 and C60 and there's no comparison. Constant business use over the last six years and it is still going strong. So concerned when it started to leave ink on the rollers. Have now managed to remove the head for cleaning and it has a new lease of life. Photo printing is staggering; such clever software.
Excerpt: I have had my Epson Stylus Color 760 for several years now and, although it was at the top of the range when I first purchased it, now it seems to old, and I'm looking to buy a newer version. It's an ok printer for what it is. But it is heavy and bulky and hard to fit into small office spaces. My workspace at home is only just big enough to fit the printer inside it, and I have to remove the backpaneling of my desk to insert more paper or new ink!
Excerpt: I have had the printer now for well overa year and can recommend it to anyone that wants a decent good all rounder. Its not the cheapest printer on the block but I think that you wont be disappointed. Its a great little work horse that produces excellent quality printer. I have used mine from producing letter heads for my business to printing off the family photos, it does everything really well.
Pros: Cost effective printing which gives excellent printing results
Excerpt: The epson stylus colour 760 is great for use as a household or family printer as it is used in my case - but i cant say that from my experience - it has been reliable enough for more serious use. It prints fairly well if a little slow in good colour as you would expect - but as soon as the ink cartridge gets low it starts to print off colour and lined pictures (when there is still some of each colour left!
Pros: Cheap, basic model
Cons: Can be slow and prints unsatisfactorilly when low on ink
Excerpt: I found the Epson 760 a very good general printer, I was impressed by how good photo prints were on the right paper. This is an important thing to me, as I have been an amateur phoyographer for many years, and I am now well into digital photgraphy. However, main print outs so far have been from remastered old photos with colour correction where needed. The print outs from these are excellent on the Epson 760.
