Summary: A friend gave this printer to me when she was moving, and within the first six months, it worked fine. Color copies looked amazing, and I was surprised about how quickly and quietly it worked. All the trouble started when I needed to change the ink for the first time. The printer recommends two Epson 68 high capacity black ink cartridges ($40), and a Epson 69 standard capacity tri-color pack ($40).
Summary: I haven't been able to get it to work properly at all. First, I had to buy a connector cable so I could actually USE it (since one was not provided with my printer) and now that I have done that and set it up, the printer does one of two things: runs paper through it without printing, or prints pages and pages of gibberish...last time I turned it on, it spewed 110 pages of randomness at me.
Summary: I don't really use my printer that much so when I started having problems I went online to return it only to find out that AFTER 30 days - you can't. Parts that were supposed to be fit together at the factory or wherever weren't. So after doing 4 repairs and the last one was beyond me, I tried to return it- no such luck. So I went directly to Epson and bought it from them, same model, same supplies but no problem. Buyer Beware!
Summary: This printer is horrible! Goes through black ink faster than any other printer I've ever owned. I've had this printer for less than a month and have not printed an obscene amount of documents; however, I am already on my THIRD black ink cartridge. Not worth it! Very slow as well.
Summary: Please don't buy this printer. Every time I try to use it it wants new cartridges. If you only print in B&W this printer sucks. The color cartridges dry out, and then you have to replace them anyway because the printer wont let you print without all of the cartridges full. If you don't use the printer for a couple weeks the cartridges dry out and you have to replace them. It's absolute crap.
Summary: Another disappointment from Epson. Of course, I'm not astonished that my second try with Epson didn't meet my already low expectations of its performance. This printer will work fine for about two weeks. After that, welcome to your new nightmare. It isn't reliable because it ALWAYS gets jammed within the first month and it will never work after that. Think you got a defective one? No. That's just Epson for you.
Summary: Long time Epson user. This is it. I'm moving on never again. I was disappointed in the last one but gave Epson another shot. Worst thing about this printer is the paper handling. It has two functions 1. crooked or 2. empty (when it is not).
Summary: I have always purchased Epson Printers, but never again.I installed 4 new ink cartridges and within 30 minutes with printing only 1 page it says my cartridges are EMPTY..and yes they were, where did all this INK go.now my printer won't print anything except black.
