Summary: Archival pigment inks, gorgeous print quality and a rock-bottom price. What's not to like? There had to be some compromises somewhere, and they are mostly in print speed, which is pretty poky at the highest resolutions, but the quality of the prints is worth the wait.
Summary: The Epson C86 is a very good home printer. I have had this printer for almost a year now and have had no problems with it what-so-ever. Changing ink cartriges is very easy and no tme consuming at all. I use this printer mainly for home/school use.
Summary: This is a great printer for text and graphics. It is very fast, the text looks sharp and the colors are vibrant. This printer was an upgrade from an HP and the set of cartridges for the HP was over $100 while the epsons are about $50. Also the epson cartridges last far longer.
Summary: After a very good Canon printer for my C64 computer, I stuck with Canon. They all gunked up and became unusable after about 2 years. Time for a change I am glad I did. Its very fast and very quiet. And the inks, while more expensive than most, are water resistant.
Inexpensive Black and White Photo Printer, Stunning Prints

Summary: Wow. Just, wow. Finally, a decent black and white print. In fact, it's not only decent, it's stunning. It's not only stunning, it will last 100 years like a traditional photo. Let me tell you how. If you're into digital photography, eventually you will wander into black and white print territory.
Summary: Just got one of this its a supurb value. i've printed several 4x6 photos on it and they look like they are right out of the photo lab to me. depends on the sorce tho of course. either way for under $xxx i couldnt ask for more. like other people have said the the paper tray stinks.
Summary: Some reviewers seem to have trouble with the paper feed on the C86, but I've printed a few hundred documents and have not had a single problem, and I switch between different weight paper frequently. The document tray holds over 50 sheets and the feeder has not jammed once.
Summary: I bought this printer wanted a fast, cheap printer for doing mainly text. While it lacks many high end features of more expensive printers, it is pretty darn fast, not too noisy, and even prints respectable photos (to my surprise). We shall see how it works in the long run...
Summary: Nice speed and great photos for price point. Did a few 4x6 borderless and they are awesome. Much better than my Epson C80. Only problem is a shoddy paper feed tray - fell apart and spring popped out on my first paper load of 4x6 glossy photo paper. Took a while to put back together.
